Really, unfortunately this processor did not enter the official MS compatibility list, and the official information we know is that the list will not change.

In addition to UEFI, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, to support Windows 11 the Processor must have a feature called VBS or Windows Memory Integrity, but those that are not on the list do not support this.

That's why MS decided not to include these processors in the list, as it can generate a lot of performance problems.

It is even possible to install Windows 11 manually, just download the Windows 11 update tool, but it is not recommended as it may not be worth it for the possible problems.

Traže da procesori imaju hardversku akseleraciju za to (MBEC), inače praktično svi procesori mogu da emuliraju, problem je i ako neke komponente nemaju drajvere koji su kombatibilni sa Memory integrity. A razlog zbog kog traže HW akseleraciju je zbog toga što može da ima dvocifreni udarac na performanse ako nema HW.
Inače na Win 10 ako imaš kompatibilne drajvere možeš da upališ Memory integrity na bilo kom CPU.
 
Ja sam bio ubeđen da je serija 7000 podržana i da sam to video u nekoj MS listi. Umalo da kupim računar s tim procesorom, za slučaj da mi zatreba Win 11. Hvala na informacijama

Bila je neka prica u pocetku da ce i 7 generacija da bude kompatibilna ali posle kratkog vremena je izbacena sa liste.
 
Negde sam procitao da krajem ovog meseca ili pocetkom sledeceg.

Kada gledaš informacije online Kaby Lake ima MBEC, a nije na Win 11 listi podržanih. Tako da ili je netačno da ima MBEC ili Microsoft *****ava.

Imao sam thinkpad t470s (7 generacija intela) i nisam mogao instalirati win 11 bez ceprkanja po registriju. I zato sam uzeo narednu generaciju t480s (8gen) i bez ikakvih problema instalirao win 11

Znam da blokiraju, ali na njihovom sajtu i dalje piše da Kaby Lake ima MBEC. Tako da cela stvar nema smisla.

Kompatiblni procesori iz Kaby Lake prorodice jedino oni koji dolaze kao REFRESH.


The Kaby Lake Refresh, also known as Kaby Lake-R, is a series of low-power mobile processors from Intel, based on the Kaby Lake microarchitecture1. These processors were unveiled as part of Intel’s 8th-Generation U-Series Processors2.

The Kaby Lake-R models are built on the 14nm+ process, and Intel’s 15W U-Series processors lead the charge2. These processors are primarily targeted towards light notebooks and laptops, portable all-in-ones (AiOs), minis, and conference rooms1.

The first models to hit the market were the i5 and i7 processors, which utilize the same underlying Kaby Lake architecture that was already on the market2. The refresh models made their way to market in September, followed by the desktop Coffee Lake models in the fall2.

Here are some of the Kaby Lake-R models:

Each of these models has 4 cores and 8 threads2. They represent a significant performance improvement over their predecessors, with Intel claiming up to 40% more performance2.

Da li će prelazak na 23H2 biti zapravo reinstalacija sa premeštanjem prethodne verzije u Windows.old ?
 
Tako je obično sa velikim updejtom tako da može lako da se vrati. Windows.old se sam briše posle 10 dana.
 
I dalje mi nije jasno da Microsoft jos uvek nije stavio dark temu za transfer prozore, kada se prebacuju podaci sa jednog mesta na drugo...to je nesto sto se najcesce koristi...a mislim da im je to par minuta posla. :)

Microsoft says the Windows 11 23H2 update is still planned for release in Q4 of 2023

Microsoft has confirmed that the upcoming September 26 feature update for Windows 11 is not version 23H2. The latter is scheduled to arrive somewhere in the fourth quarter of the year.

At the time, many media outlets, Neowin included, assumed that all of those updates were going to be launched and labeled as the big 23H2 update for Windows 11. However, Microsoft later clarified that wasn't the case. In fact, all of those new features and improvements will be released as an update to the current Windows 11 version 22H3.

Nadao sam se da ce danas… :-( bas sam planirao reinstalaciju…
 
Uključi ovo ako ti rade windows paćeš do biti update danas. Ovako veliki update i onako zamene većinu systemskih fajlova pa je skoro kao "In place upgrade" sa zadržavanjem programa i nameštanja.

Ja sam još u podne očistio i optomizovao system i napravio full disk backup. Spreman ko zapeta puška da nešto pokvare. Videćemo za pola sata.
