Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut will expand the game's endings with "a sense of personalisation" specific to your playthrough.
Saved your favourite characters? Killed everyone? BioWare suggests you'll be offered more chances to see the consequences of your actions on the game's finale.
"We wanted to give the players a sense of personalisation with the endings," producer Mike Gamble revealed during the Mass Effect 3 panel at PAX East. "Many people mentioned that some of the choices they made in the game are not necessarily reflected in the ending scenes. We're definitely going to focus on things like that.
"We want to make sure that when you see the ending of Mass Effect, you now have the information and context to be satisfied."
BioWare is still targeting the "generic summer" launch window previously announced for the free expansion, but said the add-on will offer a decent amount of content. "It's more than just a few cinematic scenes," Gamble added.
"We're currently building it right now, our cinematics team is on it. Our writers are heavily involved. It's coming together."
Gamble reiterated BioWare's previous stance that the new content would not "re-imagine" the current ending or add a new one. So why wasn't the Extended Cut part of the game already?
"The dev team stands by what was released in the core product, and we're very proud of it," Gamble concluded. "It was important though for us to listen to the community, and a lot of that feedback didn't come until the game came out. Once we were listening we decided to include the extended cut. It wasn't in the game because we didn't know there was such a huge demand for it, to be honest with you."

Drugo, ne mogu sad da citam taj link, ali pretpostavicu da objasnjava neka pravila koja moraju da se postuju kad pises bilo kakvu (dobru) pricu. Sto nema veze s mozgom. Ko kaze da ako su se prethodna dva zavrsila na odredjen nacin da to mora i treci?
Taj slideshow na kraju je jedan od osnovnih elemanata svake dobre knjige, filma, igre, price i cinjenica da ga nema u ME3 je dosta porazavajuca s obzirom da su ga imala prethodna 2 dela. Sta ovo tacno znaci? Postoji ocigledan izbor na kraju, tokom igre si pravio razlicite izbore, samo sto te igra ne podseca u cinematicu na kraju na njih ne znaci da ih nije bilo.interaktivniji kraj
Da. Zadovoljan. Drugo, to sto sam radio ce imati uticaja na svet posle odlaska Reapera. I nemam nista protiv toga. Bas me zanima sta su svi ocekivali. 20 krajeva, koji zavise od odluka od prve do poslednje igre?
Taj slideshow je najjednostavniji nacin da se zavrsi prica - ovo se desilo sa ovim, ovo sa ovim... Odiseja u svemiru je trebala da ima takav kraj, dok nije reziser odlucio da izbaci naratora i da namerno ostavi poslednjih par minuta filma (nisam siguran koliko, davno je bilo) koje ce tesko da iko razume u potpunosti, ali ce svi da se zamisle. Ocigledno, to ne moze da uspe kad pravis nesto za siroku publiku, pa morau da menjaju kraj kraj, bice i narator koji ti objasnjava sta se desilo i svi ce da budu zadovoljni.
Hmmm, ja nisam citao knjigu, pa ne mogu da kazem 100%, ali sam negde procitao da je tamo sve objasnjeno (oni crni monoliti) i da je to trebalo da tako bude i u filmu, a da je Cubrick to promenio u skoro pa poslednjem trenutku. Mozda sam lose informisanDa malcice offtopikujem, poenta kraja u Odiseji je Kjubrikova ideja "You cant show face of a God", dakle, kontakt nase rase sa nepoznatim je nemoguce direktno objasniti i prikazati vec gledalac to mora da docara kroz sopstveno razmisljanje zasnovano na tome sta je video i koliko razumevanje ima prema umetnosti i poimanju takvih ideja. On nikada nije rekao u cemu je poenta kraja vec je uvek zeleo da cuje sta gledaoci filma misle o tome i kako ga docaravaju. U tome i lezi genijalnost tog filma jer gotovo minimalizmom pokusava da docara grand scale stvari i od toga je napravio remek delo filmske umetnosti.
Drugo, ako se pitate zasto je industrija tu gde jeste - evo odgovora. Neko napravi nesto sto bar malo tera na razmisljanje, nisu svi odgovori servirani i izdavac je primoran da pravi drugaciji kraj.
Nisam odigrao Mass 3 ali zbog ove halabuke oko igre pokusavam, tek sam prvi zavrsio (zapocet pre nekoliko godina) pa da vidim i ja oko cega se digla tolika galama.
