Microsoft details the features being deprecated or removed in the Windows 10 May 2020 Update




Companion Device Framework: The Companion Device Framework is no longer under active development.
Microsoft Edge: The legacy version of Microsoft Edge is no longer being developed.
Dynamic Disks: The Dynamic Disks feature is no longer being developed. This feature will be fully replaced by Storage Spaces in a future release.



Cortana: Cortana has been updated and enhanced in the Windows 10 May 2020 Update. With these changes, some previously available consumer skills such as music, connected home, and other non-Microsoft skills are no longer available.
Windows To Go: Windows To Go was announced as deprecated in Windows 10, version 1903 and is removed in this release.
Mobile Plans and Messaging apps: Both apps are still supported, but are now distributed in a different way. OEMs can now include these apps in Windows images for cellular enabled devices. The apps are removed for non-cellular devices.

Nista, napravicu onda tako. Ima li LTSC 2019 nekih problema u nekompatibilnosti sa nekim programima ili nesto slicno?

inace problem za ovu ikonicu nisam resio, cist je racunar. sad me nateralo da izvucem pravu ikonu "this pc" odnosno da nije vise shorcut..sa njom nemam problema a ako je shorcut kao do sada mrda je gde hoce posle svakog refresha...

da. procitah u medjuvremenu da nisam jedini, tako da mislim da je do apdejta..

Niko ne komentarise kako radi 2004 na HDD?

Treba da pregazim neki laptop pa bih stavio 2004 odmah a nema SSD.
 
Najavili su da će ovaj apdejt ubrzati search index i kompjutere koji imaju hdd.

znam i ja da to ne moze da bude nikad prijatno kao na SSD ali ovaj update je trebalo da donese znatno poboljsanje u odnosu na trenutni rad na HDD pa me zanima kako 2004ka radi.
 
ako baš mora odradi bench sa hdtune-om,reći će ti u megabajt gde počinje značajan pad performansi (uobičajeno na nekih 30tak posto diska) i tolika da bude početna sistemska particija.kad sve instaliraš,skini auslogics disk defrag (ima i portable verzija za džabe) i odradi 'defrag and optimize' i nadaj se najboljem. :)
 
Mora, to mi je backup laptop na kojem stoji Linux Mint XFCE ali buduci vlasnik zahteva Office i tu je kraj toj opciji. Svakako je dat savet da sto pre predje na SSD.

Pustio sam da se skida ISO pa cu da ga izgustiram sutra.
 
Stavi Oprekina 2004.172 lite +, pa ga kroz update digni na 264. Ja sam tako i na desku i na starom lapu, radi vrhunski.
 
Evo instalirah kod majke na njen lap sa hdd... mogu reci da je jos sporiji i gori...
 
Ja sam ga na 10-ak mašina postavio i radi besprekorno. Naravno, dodatne finese moraš sam da podesiš.

Za hardove je najbolje rešenje do sada (i ne samo za hardove), koliko sam isprobavao, a bogami jesam mnogo
Win10 Enterprise LTSC OptimaMod v2.

Napomena:
Za korisnike kojima nije mpotreban M$ store i/ili igrice zavisne od njega, mada postoji dodatno rešenje i za to

Powershell skripta za debloat windowsa, autor je redovno održava i biće aktuelna i za buduće verzije desetke. Skine se, raspakuje, desni klik "run with power shell" i dalje po izboru.

Super stvar, sad sam pustio na ovom laptopu pa javljam kako radi.

Instalirao sam posle win 7 ovaj win LTSC 2019 i kada recomo uzmem sa jednog hdd-a da prebacujem na drugi hdd fajlove torrent mi zabaguje tj upload se drasticno smanji,neki put se i izgubi.Cim prebaci fajlove vrati se u normalu.Zna li mozda neko u cemu je problem?Nista nisam podesavao na windowsu od kada sam instalirao.I da jos jedan problem,stavio sam da mi posle 10 minuta gasi monitor,a on mi gasi posle minut mozda cak i 2 kada zakljucam win.
 
@poolmaker znam, posluzice i na ovom da ne gasim rucno OneDrive i ostale gluposti

A za LTSC probam ako ovo ne zadovolji potrebe, za sad imam problem sa Fast Startupom po ko zna koji put, moram preko CMD da resavam

Treba ugasiti onaj sysmon/superfetch servis. Malo se dobije na odzivnosti.
 
Windows Task Manager is a vital tool that has been on Windows for 25 years. Its original developer has recently explained some secrets about the feature.

Through the release of Windows 10 May 2020 Update, Microsoft has made some big changes to the Windows Task Manager. Furthermore, the company has additional plans for the tool through the release of Windows 10 20H2 later this year. As one of the most fundamental utilities on Windows, the importance of the tool cannot be underestimated.

In an explainer, the man behind the Task Manager has discussed the birth of the feature and shared some of its secrets.

Ex-Microsoft programmer David Plummer developed the Task Manager back in 1994. It shipped soon after as part of Windows NT 4.0 and landed on Windows 95. We already know the tool allowed users to monitor resources, component usage, and to kill apps and processes on their PC.

Plummer says he created Task Manager as a tool for troubleshooting processes. It’s primary goal was to help users understand why their PC is underperforming.

When something freezes or crashes on a PC, the Task Manager is a first port of call for many users. It usually works above crashes and can be started through CTRL+ALT+Delete key combination. However, what do you do in instances where the Task Manager itself freezes?
Second TM Instance

While most power users may know the answers, many casual PC users probably won’t. Plummer is on hand to help out and points out users can launch a new instance of Task Manager with the CTRL+Shift+Escape key combo.

When this happens, Winlogon in the Windows Login subsystem will check for the current instance of Task Manager. The subsystem will attempt to retrieve the crashed instance but if there is no response for 10 seconds another instance will be launched.

“That way, you’re never without a Taskmgr as long as there are some resources available,” Plummer says.

If resources are an issue, Plummer says Windows can launch Task Manager in a limited capacity. This will include reduced capabilities but allow users to see and kill processes. Even if Windows Shell or Explorer are not functioning, the CTRL+Shift+Escape combination allows users to restart both.

“So if the Shell/Explorer is dead, use this key combo to bring up TM and then reset/restart the shell. Even if your tray is missing and gone, this combo should start it,” he advises.
