The Zen Blockchain Foundation, listening to the community, made the difficult decision to pivot and develop sidechain technology using zero knowledge proof capabilities.

The sidechains would be able to accomplish the original goals of governance and node operator distribution. Private transactions would also be possible on a sidechain, while transparent and trackable ZEN on the mainchain could be sent to and from exchanges.

There would also be the potential to create a more granular version of private transactions which would meet the requirements of business to send value without exposing the exact amounts to competitors, while staying in the good graces of regulators.

Acknowledging the current state of the world, we have ZenIP 42204 for the deprecation of the Mainchain shielded pool. The point of the proposal is to remove the ability to send ZEN into an anonymity pool. Funds that are already in it would be able to come out, but from the moment this takes effect, Horizen is no longer a privacy coin.

My vote is on pivoting away from being a privacy coin and embracing the advances we’ve made in being a network of blockchains with Ethereum-compatible smart contracting. I prefer to be proactive against potentially adverse regulation and to remove the possibility that our base layer could be made illegal one day. With these foundations secure, we can focus on an explosion of use cases that add substantial value to the industry.

Zendoo enables a network of blockchains and the EVM SDK opens a new world of dApps and use cases beyond currency. There are tremendous opportunities in data privacy and all sorts of operational or functional privacy for dApps that have nothing to do with coin anonymity. We should embrace all of these.

An explosion of community dev activity in just the first few days of EON launching on the Dune Testnet shows that there’s growing momentum away from our original single use case. There’s a new and exciting energy in our community and with it a changing sense of who we are.

ZEN 3.2.1 is now available. This is a mandatory upgrade for all exchanges, partners, full node operators, and full node wallet users must update to version 3.2.1 prior to February 20, 2023. The ZEN 3.2.1 upgrade prepares for the upcoming release of EON.
 
With the hard fork that was activated at block 1426200 (September 26th 2023), private addresses can no longer receive ZEN from transparent addresses. This affects both Secure and Super Nodes’ ability to continue to perform challenges, and the ability to set up new nodes which currently requires a balance in a shielded address.

Starting September 26, 2023, challenges in both systems are suspended indefinitely. The increased requirements of successfully validating certificates introduced with the registration of EON will serve as a substitute for challenges in the interim.

Brate sta se ovo desava sa Zenom delistuju ga sa okx odlepih usao sam bas puno u njega kad su ojavili da vise nisu privacy sta sad kenja ovaj okx bezveze bas..da nesto neznas druze ..

Delistovali su još dosta coin-a, uključujući i Dash i ZCash. Navodno zato što je mali volume, pa izbacuju coin-e za koje nema dovoljno interesovanja. E sada, da li im verovati ili ne, to je već veliko pitanje
 
direktno uticu na obaranje cene :( sto uopste nije dobro za holdere.
