OK, reading the CDA review now. Here are some more interesting tidbits:
- the review was conducted at CDP headquarter and the game itself was lacking the final patch adding polish and preparing the game for the final release, so basically it was a preview code, just as I was suspecting
- controls using WSAD + Mouse or Gamepad and it works great (not clear if it refers to keyboard+mouse, gamepad or both)
- fighting is more dynamic, requires good spacial orientation and target selection
- light or strong attacks (strong attacks prone to counterattacks)
- group fights are not easy
- in general the reviewer likes combat a lot but was a bit underwhelmed by boss fights which he found a bit too easy and there isn't many of them
- on the other hand he was reassured that devs will be working up until the release date to balance boss fights and if needed the tuning will continue even after the release
- swordsmanship (one of skill trees) focuses on improved dodging, improved mobility and improved chance of landing critical hit; higher skills in the tree include AOE damage skills and finishers
- new sign, Heliotrop, causes enemies to move slower and sloooooooooooweeeeeeerrrrrrr
- he didn't tested alchemy/oils skill tree
- some skills are received after completing certain story plots
- amazing non-linearity in both main quest and side quests, puts Bioware to shame
- main story consits of long prologue, 3 acts and very short epilogue
- stealth sequences could be frustrating for more inpatient players
- fans of Sapkowski prose will be happy with the story
- interesting part: the game shows what happedned between the 'death' of Geralt in books and his arrival to Kaer Morhen in TW1 and the reviewer was satisfied with what he saw there
- he was not happy with the ending, it was short and somewhat lackluster (no "Holy Shit!!" moment :>), one of the reasons the game didn't score 10/10
- dynamic weather, night/day cycle, the game looks phenomenal, no loading times, rare and short fps drops
- dialogues are great, humorous, coarse and witty
- the reviewer recommends to take the game slowly and enjoy it to its fulliest, well worth it

Test systems (@1080p):
C2D E6750 (2 cores, 2.6Ghz) + 4870 = low end system
X4 955 (4 cores, 3.2Ghz) + 6580 = mid range system
i7 2600k (4 cores, 3.4Ghz) + GTX 570 = high end system
Results:
C2D E6750 + 4870 = Play on low, or reduce to 720p on medium
X4 955 + 6850 = no difficulty @ High, Ultra a bit jerkier.
i7 2600k + GTX 570 = completely smooth @ Ultra, beyond all doubt
??? + 6970 = completely smooth @ Ultra, beyond all doubt
