Rapidshare iz "NAMA NEPOZNATOG RAZLOGA" trenutno ne radi:S:. Postoje nagovestai da ce veceras posle 12 poceti sa radom, ali ja cisto sumnam :wall:

rapidshare.com (web and DNS) is hosted on a net block of 195.122.131.0 - 195.121.131.255 (also referred to as 195.122.131/24 CIDR in network terms) which is part of a larger block 195.122.128.0 - 195.122.191.255 owned by Level3 UK service provider. It appears Level3 has blocked inbound traffic destined for 195.122.131.0/24 at the edge of their network dropping all rapidshare.com traffic such as DNS, web, etc. This is not something that's normally done for routine maintenance or upgrades so there has to be a valid serious for taking such drastic measure and the only two that make sense are denial-of-service or legal. If the inaccessibility issue has been intermittent then that hints at denial-of-service but if it's abrupt then possibly legal. My guess is it's due to denial-of-service since since rapidshare.de (web hosted by Cogent ISP in US, DNS in DE and NL) is up and serving files. I'm really surprised rapidshare.com didn't invest some of the money they're raking in on making their services more immune to denial-of-service and more fault tolerant somewhat like rapidshare.de has done. Maybe they've finally realized and are doing a major redesign hence the downtime.

Ovde se kaze da je rapidshare hostovan kod provajdera level3 iz UK-a i da ga je provajder iskljucio :( Jedino se nezna da li je problem u "prekidu saradnje" ili legalnosti. Predpostavlja se da je u pitanju "prekid saradnje" jer Rapidshare.de i dalje radi. Covek se cudi zasto Rapidshare.com nije ulozio novac da bi postao imuniji na "prekide saradnje" kao sto je to uradio RS.de (Hosting im je u US-u a DNS-ovi u Nemackoj i Holandiji).

Rapidshare.com Down: RapidShare Rumored To Have Been Shut Down

There are rumors that Rapidshare.com, the German file sharing and data storage giant, has been shut down by the authorities after a court order.

German collections agency GEMA have reportedly won a temporary injunction against both RapidShare.de and RapidShare.com, according to a report.

However no court records have revealed any issued Rapidshare court order as of yet.

Currently rapidshare.com is not working but rapidshare.de is.

Users have been experiencing errors such as: "The following error was encountered: * Connection Failed The system returned: connection refused"

A Wikipedia entry was made that read: "As of 19 January 2008 16:00 GMT, Rapidshare AG’s servers were shutdown by anti-piracy authorities in Germany. More than hundreds of Rapidshare servers were seized from their offices in Berlin although no arrests were made. Sources said, authorities are contemplating pursuing legal action against users who distribute and download pirated copies of software and movies from these servers."

It was quickly removed.

Rapidshare.com, formerly Rapidshare.de, has been widely used as a vehicle for the transfer and sharing of pornography. Site such as HCMF.com commonly used the site as a means of perpetuating the illegal sharing of pornography.

A NSFW and EXTREMELY graphic example of its use (or abuse, depending on your view) can be found here. (you must be 18) As you can see, below the photo are the links to where the pieces needed to make one file exist (or existed) on Rapidshare.

Rapidshare.com, and Filefactory.com have also been abused by spammers, says Dave Marcus, security research and communications manager for McAfee's Avert Labs.

The "official" word is that the downtime is said to have been caused by a server overload.

Rapidshare technician Steven Gircham has reportedly commented on this issue - "There are rumors concerning attacks made on the Rapidshare.com servers. There are also rumors that Rapidshare has been shut down by a court order. These rumors are false. We would like to apologize to our users and inform them that no data has been lost. There have been some hardware issues as a result of high bandwidth and server overload. We are doing our very best to resolve the hardware issues, and users should expect uptime by midnight tonight (GMT)"

you can still view the site via IP - 80.239.151.250

They either got DOS attacked, and are having trouble getting there DNS working or they want it to at least appear that way. At the moment, it would appear that they where NOT taken down by any "anti-piracy orginizations"

Meni ističe 29.03.2008., tako da mi nije velika šteta, naskidalo se toga za godinu dana, tušta i tma.

Proveri i sam i videćeš da i dalje ne radi.
E, sad, da li je krepao za navek, ili je u pitanju overload, što kaže njihov potparol ne znam, ali mislim da je bilo samo pitanje vremena kada će neko da se seti da blokira najvećeg provajdera nelegalnog sadržaja na internetu.
Da ne bude zabune, i ja sam njihov korisnik i nije mi pravo što više neću skidati ono što me interesuje (ako budu pukli - nadam se da neće, ali ne verujem u to), ali priznajte da niste iznenađeni, ipak je rapidshare.com bio isuviše veliki trn u oku.
Možda se i varam ,ali vreme će najbolje pokazati da li sam u pravu li ne.

I am re-opening this topic because I made a little mistake in my previous one which made it not-working. But actually it does.

There is a problem at the nameservers of rapidshare.com, but the fileservers are up and running.
If you download this file:

And put it in your 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc' directory, EVERYTHING from rapidshare will work 100%.
Not through some hacked site or something, check the code if you like.
Tested by me and a lot of others.

Ajde nek neko (ako ima herca) baci ovo u sistemski folder i proveri o ćemu ovaj Rus priča.

ISTINA ......je negde tamo......
nesto slicno je bilo i za demonoid prvo kao pao server zbog guzve a onda ih ipak ukinuli....nadam se da nece biti isti slucaj sa rapid-om....inace cigla u izlog!!!
 
On 19 January 2007, news broke that German collections agency GEMA had claimed to have won a temporary injunction against both RapidShare.de and RapidShare.com. "The latter is said to have used copyright protected works of GEMA members in an unlawful fashion,". To date RapidShare has claimed not to have any knowledge of the content uploaded by the users and of not being in a position to control the content. Through its injunctions the District Court in Cologne had now however made it clear to the company that the fact that it was the users and not the operator of the services that uploaded the content onto the sites did not, from a legal point of view, lessen the operator’s liability for copyright infringements that occurred within the context of the services, the spokesman added. Currently rapidshare is not working.
