Novi mac lineup!

Bogami ponestaje im imena. Za ovog Snow Leoparda nikad nisam čuo mada očigledno postoji:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Leopard
Svi smo očekivali da dobijemo lava, poslednju preostalu a poznatu veliku mačku, ali izgleda da update i nije mnogo bitan. Lava očigledno čuvaju za nešto veće.
 
kažu da je Snow Leopard reorganizacija ispod haube 😀

nema ništa veliko što bi bilo značajno i vidljivo za korisnike ali promene jesu velike: konačno će ceo sistem biti 64bitan, uključujući i sve standardne Apple aplikacije, napravili su novi QuickTime X, odnosno reorganizovali kompletno quicktime i prateće komponente... i bla, bla - uglavnom ništa vidljivo za korisnika ne najavljuju, bar za sad... 🙂

@mad_muzzy ovi novi modeli se odnose na iMac i MacMini 😉 a trebali bi da se pojave i novi MacPro sa i7...
 
Kako ništa vidljivo za korisnika??? Pa stvaro koje su radile dobro - sada će da rade još bolje... A ono što nije radilo kako treba (samo se još uvijek pitam šta je to) - konačno će proraditi...

U svakom slučaju, mnogo više pažnje prema korisniku nego što to daje (nikako ne mogu da kažem pruža, mada je i ovo daje pod znakom pitanja, jer MS nikad ništa neda - on sve prodaje) Microsoft...
 
@castor pa M$ nije ni vredan pomena u inovacijama tako da ne bih trošio reči na njega u ovom threadu... 🙂
 
tja... svi pricaju da ce ovaj nvidia 9400 zavrsiti u svim Mac-ovima (ukljucujuci i MacMini i iMac ;()

jedino Pro modeli (MacBookPro i buduci MacPro) ce imati dedicated grafiku - tipa nvidia 9600 ... ...

Moguće je da će Mini da dobije MHD4500 Intel grafiku, koja bi trebala da ima i HD akceleraciju i generalno bi trebala da bude dosad najjača Intel integrisana grafika (što je i normalno, jer je najnovija, jel'te)...

Glede iMac-a i nVidia-e, pitanje je šta će se desiti sa platformom, jer po glasinama koje su se pojavile na netu, iMac će biti prva Apple mašina sa Core i7 procesorom (dakle - Nehalem)... to bi sigurno značilo pomak od trenutnog 9400/9600 rješenja na nešto drugo...

Takođe, novi iMac-ovi će izgleda definitivno da napuste notebook tehologiju (trenutna linija ima jedino desktop HDD), a to će omogućiti kako Quad procesore, tako i kompletno drugačije performanse sistema u cjelini...
 
Moguce da ce u novom iMac-u da budu low-power Core 2 Quad cipovi sa TDP-om od 65W koji su najavljeni pre par dana.

@castor 99% asm siguran da iMac dolazi sa nvidia grafikom.

i novi procesori iz linka u postu #180 su Core2 Quad sa TDPom od 65W a ne nelhalem. gde si procitao to za nelhalem? nelhalem ne postoji (ako se ne varam) u low power varijanti za sad... zasto bi cekali do januara da stave nelhalem u iMac, to su mogli da urade do sad...

btw dell vec neko vreme stavlja u XPS One QuadCore procesore koji su namenjeni desktop masinama...

Soon a revelution for the iMacs?

A new rumour implies that Apple could make a small revolution with its next range of iMacs.
Currently, these machines are designed by the engineers at Apple to be like 'office portables', using many the components intended for the mobile machines. This allows them to be very thin, making them appear as being just a screen.

This rumour announced that Apple could give up this approach and use the Core i7 architecture of the desktop machines. Although we are skeptical on this change of direction, it does make sense in the current context for the following advantages:

- For the first time since ages, certainly since Apple moved to the Intel processors, there is a marked difference between its two product ranges (office and mobile). If the desktop machines pass to Nehalem, the portables will still have to wait a year for this change of architecture.

- The Nehalem architecture brings a real plus in term of performances.

- It has the merit, even on the office machines to bring under control the use of its Intel components.

- These processors all have 4 cores, which will soon become the basic reference in data processing.

Approaching this from another viewpoint, progressively during its evolutions, the iMac has passed from the role of a toy machine - a poor man's Mac, to that of machine of the main office, while the Mac Pro has climbed more and more in the range so as to appeal only to the most demanding of the professionals. It is thus important that this iMac remains at the peak of power. In exchange, it would certainly be obliged to be thicker since one needs to place bulkier components and especially to re-examine the cooling system so that it can dissipates effectively and silently the additional heat.

If Apple goes in this direction, we would have another reason to be happy. The Mac mini would be different enough not to create a shadow on the iMac, thus the Mac mini would not have to stay as the poor relation and badly-liked model. It could thus have a normal life and evolve at the same rate as that of the portables with which it will continue to share its platform.

Core i7, nema više Nehalema... Ko još Core 2 zove Merom (osim Intelovih inženjera? 🙂)
