Ok, so I've not posted this for awhile as I wanted to wait until after Community Day had passed. But here are some quick impressions I've had in playing Carbon the last couple weeks.

I'll do my best to not sound like the "company guy", but sometimes it goes w/ the territory.

Let me say that each year, I think the team really hits a strong bar in game development and that they won't be able to surpass that the following year.

Once again, I was wrong.

NFS Carbon is shaping up to be an amazing title. The feel is very similar to NFSMW which I liked a lot, but some of the new aspects of Carbon really stand out.

First, the car list. I won't go into too many details as the 2nd list unveiling is sometime next week. But suffice to say, it's got a great mix of exotic, tuner and muscle cars. Much better than what was in NFSMW and they all handle differently. No joke. The muscle car I played with forces you to react differently than the tuner and exotic car I played with. Awesome job there. (Go Kristian!)

Second, drifting. Friggin sick! The element of speed was definitely lacking in Underground 2 and I really didn't give it much thought until playing Drift in Carbon. This is going to be a big deal for people and tie this back into car handling, you guys are going to have a big challenge on your hands.

Canyon Duel. I don't know where to start here. First, the premise is a good one. For anyone who's seen Initial D, you'll feel right at home. The idea of falling off a cliff really adds to the intensity. Speaking of intensity, the music for this mode is PERFECT. The composition really adds to the white knuckle feel of racing down the mountain trying to beat your opponent.
A fantastic job here yet again.

Autosculpt - I don't think I have the words to express how cool this feature is. The idea of being able to tweak out your car based upon your personal style is ingenious. You'll only see another car that looks like yours by design, the system is that complex. But so easy to learn and really adds to the flavor of customization. Add to that the ability to modify vinyls, it's not just a step above past NFS games, but a huge leap.

Crews & territory - Very, very cool. Team racing hasn't really been done as successfully in the past and again, a huge leap forward for that gameplay feature. I was skeptical of how this would work at first, but having played around with it, I think it's well implemented and even cooler that it's an option, not a requirement.

Online - Ohhh, I CAN'T WAIT to talk about this. Y'all are going to have to shut up thinking we didn't come out with a bang on this time.

Ok, I have to stop for now as a meeting calls. But I'll try to come back to this as I continue to play the game.
 
I opet vozenje 33030 staza, koje su sve isste samo idu napred nazad od sredine i ...

Takvo budzenje kola (naaravno kikad vidjeno do sad samo milon puta)da je mogucnost da VAS automobil bude unikatan svedena na nulu (sto se tice tehnickih performansi)... Fizicki cete moci opet da ga peglate ko barbiku...

Grafika daleko od lepe, ali se vrhunski sjaji..ko k*rva sa sljokicama...
tacno ako ne bude drifta onda im dzabe igra...
Konzolno izvodjenje zivelo...PC je definitivno mrtav... a sa njim i nada da se konacno napravi neka inovativna igra...
Iskreno bolje sam se osecao kad sam na prvom pc-u na 100mhz igrao onu ludacku igru gde se isto trkas za pare i budzis motor, a delove kupujes preko oglasa... ma nema EA pojma... ali da zna da uzima pare ljudima koji se loze na brzinu (bez gotovo ijednog prividnog inovativnog elementa) svaka cast...

Sta bi s' mozgom... Toliko para a nista novo... Sveprisutni Deja Vu ce ns pratiti tokom cele igre koja ce nam uzbudjenje servirati na kasicicu i na kraju nas ostaviti gladnim.. za novim remek delom softverskog giganta...
 
Evo citam na NFS: Carbon forumima i koliko sam saznao, moci ce da se tjunuju svi automobili, pa cak i BWM M3 GTR. Bice i drifta.
 
Ne znam samo zasto uopste se ljude loze na ovu igru kad nam od kreatora najboljeg nfs (PU) dolazi ove sezone TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED, a nju niko i ne pominje... a ljudi ovde troluju 3 strane o nekom konzola portu za decu od 3-5 godina.
 
Test Drive unlimited sam igrao i odlicna je igra a inace je hvale za razliku od ranijih delova...

Citao sam u nekom casopisu da sredinom oktobra stize kod nas zvanicno shto znaci da bi vec moglo po ulicama da se nadje:):):)

Kada već toliko pratite NFS, znali biste da za svaku igračku platformu već poslednja tri izdanja izlaze istog datuma.
 
10. Novembar 2006 je official release date za NFS:Carbon.
 
Kao što sam rekao ranije, i sada sam video u trejleru... Ista bre grafika kao u NFSMW... Užas
 
A gameplay je kao neki ? :D:D
 
Pa kad je već čista arkada, pa još i neozbiljna, ja rekoh bar da se nagledam grafike... nijedna igra u tom smislu nije iznenadila kao FlatOut 1, a razočarala kao FlatOut 2...

sta fali flatout 2 grafici ? Menije sasvim ok...ne znam sta si ti ocekivao..

Flatout 2 je dokaz da i sa malo grafike igra moze da izgleda fenomenalno. :p
 
da da, ali eto, nekima se ne svidja, ukusi su razliciti, meni se svidja i gameplay i grafika.

Očekivao sam da bude bolja od grafike u FlatOut 2. Ima dobrih momenata, moram da priznam, ali ima i takvih propusta (dosta loših modela na stazi, poneke grozne teksture, itd.). Overall je FlatOut ujednačeniji i generalno je sama trka, osećaj tokom vožnje, daleko bolji...

MW? Fuck that.. Šteta što nema isti feel kao onaj NFS Porsche (aka poslednji NFS koji je valjao), ovako cvrc..
 
NFS nikad nije bio simulacija, samo što je bio malo realnija arkada u petom izdanju...
 
Ali ipak je bila normalnija nego murija koja predje preko spike-stripa i ima magicne gume :bottle:
