Zbog kretanja i sl. jednostavno mora miš.
Pojavio se klonirani, nije skup samo 3.68 gigabodova.
Plot a graph; genius times incompetent design. Far Cry 2 is in the top right.
Beneath its stunningly realised world, Far Cry 2 carries some pretty basic design flaws. For one thing, the game is simply not as open-world as is purports to be. Like us, you no doubt imagined that getting from A to B would be a simple affair; just point yourself in the direction of your next objective and go. This is usually not the case. Knitting together your supposedly open world are barriers. Most times, these take the form of unscalable ridges, rock formations or chasms. The upshot of their use in the game is that you will be funnelled into reaching your objectives using the route that the game wants you to take. So much for free choice. Why do we have to take a half-kilometre detour via the road instead of making our own route and avoiding trouble? Right… because ‘it’s only a game’.
We could almost have put up with the mindless amount of shoe-leather we wore away during our time with Far Cry 2, had it not been for the checkpoints. Bearing in mind that more often than not you’re going to have no choice but to use the roads to get where you’re going, about every 500 metres or so there are armed checkpoints. Far from being able to simply drive up and explain why you need to get through, these guys will begin shooting on sight, before they’ve even had the possibility to identify who you are and whether or not you’re likely to be a threat. It just makes no sense. This would make things unnecessarily irritating enough, but not stopping there, once you’ve scouted the checkpoint and cleared it of hostiles, don’t bother with that sigh of relief. Two or three minutes is all it takes for your wanton trail of bodies and destruction to respawn as an entirely unsullied locale, once again replete with armed guards ready to shoot your teeth out at your slightest move. The decision to repopulate checkpoints that you may have to travel through several times on a single mission is an odd one at best, at worst, it’s a criminal oversight. Even your ability to simply charge through them is isn’t an option due to their identical jeeps being much, much faster than yours. We lost count of the number of times our enjoyment turned to extreme frustration as we had to fight the same guys again within the space of a few minutes, this time without the health syringes to make it through alive. Why? The words ‘It’s only a game’, no longer are they mocking our suspension of disbelief, nor even making excuses for its ability to pull us unlovingly out of its illusion, but now as a mantra. A mantra that’s the only barrier between our keyboard becoming monitor-bound at a truly insane velocity.
A good game, but a wasted opportunity, Far Cry 2 could have so easily been genre-definingly great.
