The recently released processor athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black edition was based on new stepping 65 nm core brisbane, that has the CPUID value : 00060FB2h, and the reflected by CPU- Z utility version was stepping 2. What will this new stepping bring for AMD processors generation K8 ?.
The list of supported processors on aSRock company site contain the answer . On 11 September this year aSRock released a BIOS update for the motherboard aSRock aLiveNF7G-HD ready, which ensured the support of the following processors stepping G2:
* Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (ADO5200IAA5DO) - > 2.7 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=65 W;
* Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black edition (ADO5200IAA5DS) - > 2.6 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, free multiplier, TDP=65 W;
* Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (ADO5200IAA5DO) - > 2.6 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=65 W;
* Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (ADO4800IAA5DO) - > 2.5 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=65 W;
* Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (ADO4400IAA5DO) - > 2.3 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=65 W;
* Athlon X2 BE -2350 (ADH2350IAA5DO) - > 2.1 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=45 W;
* Athlon X2 BE -2300 (ADH2300IAA5DO) - > 1.9 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=45 W;
* Sempeon LE-1300 (SDH1300IAA4DP) - > 2.3 GHz, 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=45 W;
* Sempeon LE-1250 (SDH1250IAA4DP) - > 2.2 GHz, 512 KB cache in the second level, TDP=45 W.
On G2 stepping are transferred not only dual core processors series athlon 64 X2 and Athlon X2 Be -2xxx, but also single core 65 nm processors sempron (Sparta) series lE-1xxx. . It is complicated to evaluate the influence of stepping change on the potential frequency since faster models on base of G2 stepping did not appear. The 65 nm version athlon 64 X2 5200+ with 2.7 GHz frequency also exists in version on G1 stepping , and it was released in the middle of the third quarter this year.
