Ko bi inache dao toliki novac?😀Intel has announced plans to release Kentsfield (Desktop) and Clovertown (Server/Workstation) processors as early as Q4 this year. Both chips are quad-core with two Conroe or Woodcrest cores on a single chip. The move is likely to counter AMD's 4x4 true quad-core systems. Ars Technica believes the two processors will likely be evenly matched, and that the true winner will be declared by side features such as the type of memory latency and data access rates. Kentsfield, like Conroe, will be limited to a single socket, while Clovertown will be usable in dual-CPU systems. Ars also believes that Kentsfield will likely offer greater performance for the price.
