Older PlayStation 3 are capable of ripping SACDs
On model numbers beginning with CECHA*, CECHB*, CECHC*, or CECHE* (all are “fat” PS3s, none the current “slim” models) locate the sign for all the disc formats yours supports.
Do you see the SACD logo?
Check the firmware. Is it 3.55 or below?
