Neko je u nekom od novijih thread-ova spomenuo kako 'novi' Rade 9000, ne moze ni da pridje Gf4 Ti4200...
Radeon 9000(Pro) je pravljen da se takmici sa Gf4 Mx u cemu savresno uspeva po performansama sa sadasnjim drajverima. On je takodje sporiji od 8500, zbog:
For starters, ATI has removed one of the vertex shaders present in the original RADEON 8500. Instead of implementing the dual vertex shaders present in RADEON 8500, ATI has decided to go with a single, optimized shader (which is actually borrowed from the RADEON 9700). While RADEON 8500 was capable of processing up to 65 million triangles/ second via its dual pipelines, RADEON 9000 can output 75 million with its single vertex pipeline. This “less is more” approach is also applied to the texture units. With RADEON 9000, ATI has implemented a single texture unit per pixel pipe (versus two in RADEON 8500). However, RADEON 9000 can partially make up for this by applying up to six textures per pass while RADEON 8500 is limited to three. This means that RADEON 9000 will offer more performance than RADEON 8500 in scenes with simple polygons (which really stresses RADEON 9000’s triangles/sec advantage), but offers less performance than RADEON 8500 in more complicated scenes where multi-texturing is used.
To cut board production costs, ATI has integrated the functions of its Rage Theater encoding chip into the RADEON 9000 core, as are both of its 400MHz DACs.
Svidja mi se i novina koja se naziva Full Stream, ali videcemo koliko ce to da zazivi. A i to sto pdrzava Dx 8.1 za razliku od Mx-a koji je jos uvek Dx 7(mada i to radi posao, ali da gledamo malo u buducnost).
Drajveri ne verujem da mogu da se pogorsaju, vec samo da se poboljsaju, a cini mi se da je iz Gf4 Mx i Ti izvucen neki maximum sa drajverima, mozda to moze bolje jos 5%. Sto se tice Ati-ja i bug-ovitih drajvera ne znam koliko je to izrazeno sa 9000-rkom, ali za Mx-a, kao i za sve nV-ove znamo da imaju jako brze i stabilne drajvere. Na testovima se 9000 pokazao kao brz i dobar protivnik Mx-u, ali svi smo culi da Ati ima problema sa igrama na kojima se ne testira, pa da vam treba 2miliona drajvera kako bi sve to radilo kako treba.

Po cenama moze da se kaze da je Ati znatno jeftiniji sa obzirom da je to value trziste, gde je svaki $ bitan. A najbolje je to sto je i jeftiniji i brzi(po testovima) u odnosu na Mx-eve.
Ne znam zasto sam ovo pisao, u stvari znam rano sam ustao i nisam imao sta da radim
