SATA II HARD DRIVES
Pros: Most Sata II hard drives come locked at 1.5 or 150. You need to unlock them to run them 3.0. I have purchase 4 from Newegg and run them in raid 0. It is much faster than my other machine running 4 36gb raptors at raid 0. Some require software to unlock as these and some are just to remove the jumper on the back to have them run at 3.0. I am starting a 3rd machine and these are what I will purchase.
Cons: None, or maybe a note from Hitachi to let ppl know to unlock them or ship them as they should be at 3.0

Did you find this review helpful? Wrong part #
Pros: Cheap, fast delivery
Cons: I just wrote the previous review and forgot to add a few bits of info. The P/ on these drives are 0A30356. The P/N on the 3.0 Gb/s drives are 0A31048. Make sure you buy the correct P/N drive if you are expecting 3.0 Gb/s. Also these drives are a lot noisier than the higher speed ones. Both drives have the same mfg date of feb-2006 so its totally just a different part number. Newegg is advertising these as 3.0 Gb/s when they arent.
Not as claimed
Pros: Drives work, cheap price.
Cons: These drives are advertised as Sata 3.0 Gb/s drives. I ordered two and what arrived were 1.5Gb/s drives. I compared them to an OEM drive that came out of my new Dell Comp that was a 3.0 Gb/s drive. They have slightly different model numbers and these two drives are rated at 82.3 GB on the label while the 3.0 Gb/s drive is rated at 80.0 GB on the label.
Other Thoughts: Maybe Newegg made a mistake or maybe they didnt, I dont know but I know I'm mad and they won't do anything about it.
