[HOWTO] Root Your HTC Desire in One Click!
WARNING! Follow these instructions VERY CAREFULLY to avoid any problems.

Step 1 - Installing a Custom Recovery Image Using UnrEVOked
Run the UnrEVOked file.
Install the HBOOT driver (take a look at the guide in the folder you just extracted UnrEVOked to)
Uninstall HTC Sync (leave HTC Driver Installer)
Reboot your PC
Take your Desire and go to Settings > Connect to PC > Default connection type > Disk drive > Remove check from Ask me
Connect your Desire to your PC
Start the reflash.exe in Admin mode
Wait (it should take about 1-2 minutes)
Then, your Desire should be in recovery mode!
Step 2 – Installing a Custom ROM
Download a ROM from XDA or MoDaCo (We reccommend Paul’s MCR r4 with Sense from MoDaCo)
Transfer it to the root of your SD Card (i.e. Not in any folders)
Turn off your phone & turn it back on again holding POWER + VOL DOWN then use vol up/down to scroll down to ‘Recovery‘ and power to select.
When you see the recovery screen, use the trackball to scroll to ‘Nandroid‘ and press the trackball to select. Then select ’Backup‘ (You can also use ‘Restore’ to restore)
Once that has done, go to ‘Flash zip from SD Card‘ and select the ROM you downloaded.
When it’s finished, select ‘Reboot‘ and your phone will reboot into your new rooted custom ROM!
