Full Defragmentation:
"Use these steps to do a full defragmentation process on your computer:
Deactivate the Virtual Memory feature in your Windows. To do so, right-click the My Computer icon, select Properties, and then go to the Performance tab. Click Virtual Memory button and reboot your Windows. While rebooting, press the Shift + F5 key to enter the DOS mode.
Type attrib -r -s -h -a /s and press Enter to deactivate all files attributes. Delete all trash files from your hard disk by using DEL commands. For examples, delete all temporary files (*.tmp) in the C:\Windows\Temp folder, *.gid files, *.old files, *.bak files, *.tmp, etc. Reboot your Windows and run Disk Defragmenter application. Don't forget to reactivate your virtual memory after the defragmentation finished. You should see an improvement in your system."
Problem kod mene jeste da kada mu zadam komandu attrib -r -s -h -a /s sistem ne reaguje 15min. dok HDD za to vreme radi (svetli lampica). Koliko treba da cekam da izvrsi zadatu komandu, 1h / 2h? Gresim li negde?
BTW, HDD je Maxtor 40Gb 5400rpm 2Mb Cache.
