Mislim da je red posvetiti zasebnu temu neoficijelnom expansion-u za verovatno najbolji RPG ikada.
Za one koji ne znaju o cemu se radi,u pitanju je expansion za Fallout 2 koga je napravio lik koji sebe zaziva killap na No mutants allowed forumu.

E sad,u temi(ovoj nasoj :) ) je dozvoljena(i pozeljna) rasprava oko stvari koje nisu direktno vezane za Restoraion project,kao sto su pokretanje Fallout-a pod XP-om,Vistom,onda problemi vezani za high resolution patch-eve(kako za Fallout 2 tako i 1) i druge stvari tehnicke prirode vezane za pokretanje i pravilan rad Restoration project-a.

Licno,nisam odigrao Restoration project,vec ga samo instalirao i probao_Obisao sam par novih lokacija i zaista sve izgleda uverljivo i nema razlike u odnosu na originalni Fallout 2. Killap kaze da je 99% novog sadrzaja zapravo sve sto je trebalo da bude ukljuceno u originalni Fallout 2(nisam uspeo da saznam, odakle nabavlja materijal). Da napomenem da 01.01.2009.(dakle za par dana) killap treba da izbaci 1.3 verziju expansion-a,koja ce biti dodatno ociscena bagova i u koju ce biti ubaceno jos novog sadrzaja,tako da je mozda dobra ideja da se do tada ne krece u avanturu jer stare pozicije nece raditi.

Jos jedna stvar:ja sam Fallout 2 instalirao normalno na Windows XP i radio je normalno,ali recimo kad je igra trebala da pokaze zavrsni film posle izlaska iz enclave baze,pukla je. Tako da ko zna kako se igra instalira da radi normalno pod XP-om neka podeli.

jel si ukljucio win98 compability za Fallout.exe fajl?

ja sam koristio podesavanja sa No mutants allowed, i cela instalacija mi se nalazi na USB disku i igram gde god se nadjem - po malo ;)
 
Ukljucio. I probao i manuelni install kao sto je objasnjeno na nma:

ali opet isto.
Evo sad sam ucitao poziciju pre Frenka,ubio ga,izasao i sad je pokazao zavrsnu animaciju,medjutim nekoliko puta se desilo da se prekine animacija dok Perlman izgovara i da krene na drugu(kao kad se klikne).

prokleto dobra ideja :D

pratio sam malo razvoj ovoga, nabavljali su informacije sto direktno od developera a nesto su cupali iz same igre pa su samo to i dovrsavali...
 
Tako nesto sam i mislio.

Inace,oni problemi koje sam gore pomenuo bi trebalo da budu reseni kad se instalira killap-ov unofficial patch(ili kad se instalira Restoration project koji u sebi sadrzi ovaj patch).
 
Када би овај лик радио нешто овог типа за КОТОР2, тамо има тоне недовршеног материјала.
 
siguran sam da je bilo slichnih projekata i za kotor, ali ne pratimo tu temu nemam pojma sta se desilo

-Complete dialogue overhaul for every RP location and character

The dialogue in the RP often left much to be desired and it never quite fit with the rest of the vanilla dialogue. Well, this should hopefully no longer be the case and all the dialogue at RP locations should seamlessly fit into the game. A big thanks to community member Dravean for his help in this area.


-Kaga Redone

Kaga has always been a sore spot for the RP. Since he was one of the first new RP content to be found in the game, he often acted as a turnoff to new players. He was a poor example of what the RP had to offer and this has been addressed. Kaga's encounters are no longer scripted sequences and nor are they forced. Kaga's encounters are just like normal encounters, but deadly ones at that. You'll get some dialogue to go along with it too, but it has completely been rewritten.


-Complete overhaul of the EPA

The EPA was always a location that could have been awesome, but fell short. This has been addressed and the location has been completely redesigned - new map, new dialogue, new quests, new secrets, etc. A big thanks to Pixote for his awesome mapping and graphic skills.


-3 new recruitable npcs available

To go along with the EPA overhaul, there are now 3 npcs that can join you which are found there. The one you get depends upon the skills you have chosen to develop.


-Improvements to every RP location

Not only has the dialogue improved at every RP location, but the quests have also been altered. The quests at these locations have been improved and new ones have even been added.


-Shi Submarine

Sailing to the Enclave no longer requires just fixing up the Tanker. The undead guardian of San Francisco is preventing anything from entering or leaving the harbor and something has to be done about it. This content has finally been realized thanks to the beautiful graphic work of Continuum.


-Vertibird is no longer flyable to the Enclave, but...

In an effort to continue making the RP as close to the intent of the original developers as possible, it was decided that flying the vertibird didn't quite make sense. For example, how could the Chosen One get all his people (in addition to everyone else) out of the Enclave in *one* Vertibird? It appears that I was wrong with what the developers wanted and what is more probable is that the Chosen One was supposed to be able to stowaway on a Vertibird to Navarro. An original game file seems to confirm this. Thus, in much the same way as the player could get to the Military Base in F1 at an earlier time than usual, the same concept is now possible in F2. The chance of survival is slim, but it's not impossible.


-Improved maps

Both vanilla and RP locations look better than ever thanks to help of community member Pixote.


-New extras

New animations are available in the extras section of the installer. In addition, Mash's high res patch now comes bundled, as well as his appearance mod.


-Tons of bug fixes

Countless bugs and other quirks have been addressed. Stability +1!

Da li moze sa ovim modom da se poveca rezolucija u igri?
Inace instalirao sam F2 patchovao na 1.2 i povrh svega sam stavio ovaj RP 1.2 i radi normalno na Win7, jedino su filmovi i animacije na pocetku u 256 paleti boja - ne samo animacije i filmovi nego se cak javlja i u igri. Kako to da podesim da mi boja bude normalna?

edit: Provalio sam kako da rijesim problem sa bojom, u ddraw.ini podesim "Mode=4", 4=dx9 fullscreen. Ali rezolucija ne moze vise od 640x480, iako promijenim u 1920x1200 ne dezava se nista. :D

Jel ima neki patch da se malo uspori proticanje vremena, posto vreme leti, a kad prodje 13 godina u igri sledi the end.
 
Ako moze neko ko igra da mi kaze koliko vremena prodje u putu izmedju klamath-a i den-a. Kod mene je 2 dana u igri?
 
ako se dobro secam, toliko i treba... koliko bi tebi trebalo peske od beograda do kragujevca? :)
 
Jel moze neka slika ovog high resolution patcha za F2?
 
Da li je uspeo neko da pokrene na Win 7 64bit i kako?
Ja sam instalirao F2, pa ovaj F2 Restoration Project 2.0.
Namestio paletu na 16 bita, i kada pokrenem igru zamrzne se vec na uvodnom sivom ekranu. :(
 
Mislim da treba paleta na 32bita, bar je tako meni prvi deo radio. Ili sam nešto žestoko pobrkao :d
 
Kod mene prvi put kad sam startovao bila je zbagovan grafika, ali sam onda podesio u options-video (to su ubacili pre nije bilo) rezoluciju i paletu boja i sledeci put kad sam startovao sve je bilo ok.
