Developed by Splash Damage and built on id Software's new MegaTexture rendering technology, ENEMY TERRITORY: QUAKE WARS pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in the ultimate online strategic shooter. With realistic dynamic lighting and shadowing from headlights, searchlights and even the moon, battles can be fought during the day or night; while accurate simulation of the atmosphere, weather, and vegetation combine to create an unparalleled degree of realism. Battlefields are perfectly rendered using MegaTexture, a totally new rendering technology developed by id Software that crunches millions of polygons and a gigabyte-scale texture into a single, seamless and un-tiled landscape with unique detail down to the square inch or the un-obscured distant horizon


Ne znam... volim id, ali gomila materijala koju sam pregledao za BF2 mi govori da ce on biti tesko nadyebiv!
 
Pa dobro, nek bude dovoljno dobar i Quake II/IV fanovima ce biti dosta ;)
 
The latest issue of Computer Gaming World (thanks EvilAvatar) contains an extensive preview of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, the upcoming multiplayer first-person by shooter by Splash Damage. Here are some highlights:

Megatextures. Technology that will allow textures to determine how an object acts. Paint a polygon as a blade of grass, and it will sway in the wind.

Unique classes for each side. Obviously not as involved as TSA vs. Kharaa or Night Elves vs. Undead, but a hell of a lot better than Red vs. Blue.

No "gametypes." Each level will be built around objectives that each team must complete. Leave the flags at home.

Online only. No single player, no bots

Jedan od razloga zasto UT 2K7 nije izasao za ovu sezonu je u tome sto su potpuno promenili Conquest da izgleda kao ET:QW!
U3 je extra masina, ali ovo sto je napravio "tata" JC nije ni malo naivno, a ako se pokaze brze (optimizovanije)! Onda nece biti dileme da im je opet svima pokazao "who's their daddy" :D
Taman ce lepo doci godinu dana nakon BF2, kad se ljudi opet zazele svezze krvi u tom zzanru i naravno odvalice!

Kao sto napisah u jednom drugom tredu, Nakon Q4 krenuo sam da izigravam D3 ponovo (ovog puta na 3x brzoj grafickoj) i sad se izzivljavam sa 4x FSA/ 16x Aniso i idem do te mere da drzim VsinC ON (mrzim nesihronizaciju na TFT-u) Naravno, igram se u Ultra quality modu! I drugari, kako yebeno dobro izgleda ta D3 masina! U Q4 su otisli jos malo dalje, pa su i modeli i texture detaljniji, ali kada se D3 nafercera do panja... impresivno! Apsolutno, po bilo kom kriterijumu, D3 masina je i dalje bez premca!
Prelistavao sam komande u konzoli i u njima ijau komande za MegaTechturing, ali naravno ne rade. No, poenta je da ih je JC "usadio" u masinu od pocetka. U prevodu to znaci da bi MegaTechturing mogla da bude veoma optimizovana tehnologija kada se pojavi u ET:QW!
Sta reci nego da jedva cekam sledeca dva SP naslova bazirana na D3 masini - Pray i RTCW2!
