da li sam dobro postavio module?

Pozdrav svima. Moje pitanje je mozda smesno vecini ali mene zanima da li sam dobro postavio 3 memorijska modula na dual channel plocu.

2 x Kingston 256MB 400mhz
1 x Kingston 512MB 400mhz
Ploca Asus A7N8X deluxe

Na ploci imam 3 socketa, DDR1 (crne boje) i DDR2,DDR3 (oba su plave boje). Kada sam kupio racunar uzeo sam 2x256 i moduli su bili postavljeni u socket 2 i 3. Da li je tada bilo dobro postravljeno pojma nemam. Kupio sam jos 512 i sada sam postavio u socket 3 modul od 512, a u socket 1 i 2 module od 256. Da li sam pravilno postavio tj. da li sada oba kanala imaju po 512mb?

U knjizici od ploce pise sledece: To enhance system performance, utilize dual-channel feature when instaling additional DIMMs. You may install the DIMMs in the following sequence: Sockets 1 and 3 OR Sockets 2 and 3 OR Sockets 1,2 and 3.

Reminding you that the nForce II is a dual-channel chipset, and to make the most of the performance, similar modules must be installed in the first and second memory banks. Therefore, one of the modules should be fitted into DIMM No.3, another one into either DIMM No.1 or DIMM No.2.

Nece ti tako poleteti u dual channelu! :wall: Da bi ti radilo u dual channel rezimu moras imati dva ista modula! Moras zameniti te koje imas za 2 x 512mb! Pozdrav

Ne mora da budu isti, ali da budu slicni da.

Isto tako mora da budu iste vrednosti i iste radne frekvencije.

Ja sam imao u dual chanelu Kingmax 512/400 i Corsair 512/400.

hmmz.. siguran sam da mogu da rade u dual channlu.. i da si dobro postavio..
ja sam ranije imao 2x256 i 512 i radilo je.. testirao sam brzinu da vidim da li su stvarno u DC (da slucajno ne ispisuje samo da jesu a ustvari nisu) i jesu bili..
tako da, ne beri brigu, sve je ok.
mogao si i da opalish search, o ovome se dosta pricalo

Speaking of Dual Channel memory, I frequently see the question "how do I make Dual-Channel memory work?" on the PC Hardware message board. I thought I'd just take a second here to answer that question and clarify a few confused issues as well. First of all, Dual-Channel DDR memory on nForce (both 1 and 2) does not work like the Dual-Channel RDRAM configurations in Pentium 4 systems. All that is needed to make it function here is that you have memory in both memory channels; the board will function just fine without the Dual-Channel configuration and yes, you can have an odd number of DIMMs installed.

The A7N8X manual lists the following possible combinations of memory slots to enable Dual-Channel operation: 1 and 3, 2 and 3, or 1, 2 and 3. The DIMM slots on the board are split up and color-coded. Two are bunched together and are colored blue; these are DIMM slots 1 and 2 and they represent memory channel 1. The third is the plain black color of DIMM connectors and is slightly removed from the first channel; this is DIMM 3 and is the only DIMM slots in the second memory channel.

So long as there is memory in both channels the dual-channel mode will function properly. Lastly, although it is recommended for performance, it is not (to the best of my knowledge) necessary for operation that the amount of memory in both channels be equal.

Da li postoji nacin da ja testiram da je to dobro postavljeno?

Takva konfiguracija moze da radi u dual channelu.Glavna stvar je da su ta 3 dimm slota u stvari
2 odvojena kanala.Onaj prvi(crne boje) stavish 512mb ,a u druga dva(plave boje)2x256 i efektivno dobijesh u prvom kanalu 512 i u drugom 512 i to je dual channel.Ja sam imao istu situaciju.
