Following the examples set by Gainward and XFX, Taiwanese company Albatron has decided it would be more to its financial advantage to stop being an Nvidia-exclusive board maker and also sell AMD/ATI-based products. Without making too much fuss about it, Albatron has started to show its newfound love for AMD by announcing a Radeon HD 4890. Named simply Radeon HD 4890-1G, the soon-to-hit-stores card is an all-stock model with a GPU clock of 850 MHz, 800 Stream Processors, 1GB of GDDR5 memory @ 3900 MHz, a 256-bit memory interface, DirectX 10.1 and CrossFireX support.
The card should have a price tag just under $250 and will be followed by lower-end Radeon HD 4000 series products.
