Deus Ex: Nihilum & Man in Black

An adventure set in an alternate Deus Ex continuity with focus on nano-augmented agent Mad Ingram, who is sent to deal with a tumultuous situation in China.

As the rest of the world has struggled with terrorism and economic breakdown for most of the 21st century, the People's Republic of China has strengthened its status as a major world power. Only now the status quo has taken a turn for the worse as bloodshed has begun. After a devastating terrorist attack in the city of Shenzhen, the Chinese military enforce martial law in the city and immediately undertake an investigation over the matter. The perpetrators of the attack are traced to one of the Triads in Hong Kong, as well as various international terrorist groups, and a plot to attack Hong Kong is also discovered.

While the military is eager to impose martial law in Hong Kong as well to assort the terrorists, the Ministry of Public Security seeks to contain the conflict due to the city's nominal status as a Special Administrative Region as well as due to their fears of facing discontent with the Triads and other anti-PRC groups in the city. To appease the pressure in the mainland, China requests the help of UNATCO for the case due to the case's links to international terrorism.

With unexpected haste, UNATCO dispatches one of their new nano-augmented agents - Mad Ingram - to assist with the investigation under the MPS' authority. In his first mission, he is sent to Hong Kong to unfold a new, possibly more disastrous attack...

I have also teamed up with WildcatPhoenix from the tremendous Deus Ex: Man in Black project. We'll be collaborating on our respective projects, sharing resources among other things. Most of my 2007 Nihilum levels will see new use in MiB (as you may have noticed from their latest screenshots) and MiB team's expertise in other areas than level editing will most certainly benefit Deus Ex Nihilum.

"Man in Black" is a single-player modification for Deus Ex. The story picks up one month after the events of the original game; Majestic 12 is reeling from the loss of its leadership, and the Illuminati are poised to regain their position of control over world affairs. Players will choose between two lead characters, Agent Q (MJ12's first nanoaugmented MIB) or Agent Shadow (a Series P MIB with a dark past). "Man in Black" will feature two dynamically changing storylines and will offer a completely unique experience for each character. Other features include: *New mission locations including Moscow, Washington DC, Tokyo, Munich, and other familiar locales from the DX universe. *New and remixed music tracks for each mission. *Full voice acting. *Multiple game endings for both characters.

When will this mod be released?

The mod will be released in two-mission episodes. We do not currently have a release date goal; in my prior experience, these always end up getting pushed back over and over again. So we'll just go with the classic "when it's finished" approach for now. Apologies.
