APC/Schneider napušta surge protection biznis i posvećuje se UPS tržištu

Jednom od korisnika je služba podrške potvrdila da napuštaju home/office liniju prenaponske zaštite i okreću se UPS liniji proizvoda. Evo šta su im rekli:

As this is a phase out of an entire portfolio, there are no product substitutes for APC Surge Protectors and AVRs upon EOL
The decision has been made to strategically focus on our core APC Back-UPS product families and to re-focus our future product roadmap on new and exciting application areas.
We will continue to honour all accepted orders and our product warranty and guarantee commitments. The warranty policy varies by product, more details regarding warranty by product can be found at www.apc.com. We will ensure we have a limited quantity of units available to support up to 10 years of warranty claims post end of commercialization based on estimated failure rates. In the event of an in-warranty product failure, if no replacement units are available, we will arrange for the relevant refund to be made to the customer up to the value of the faulty item.

Praktično, pošto prestaju sa proizvodjnom kompletne linije proizvoda, više neće biti zamene za APC prenaponske zaštite nakon EOL. Ispoštovaće garancije a ako ne bude bilo dostupnih proizvoda za zamenu refundiraće novac do vrednosti proizvoda koji se reklamira...

nisam ni primetio da imaju nove modele. čak su na starim samo promenili ime sa APC u Schneider

Taman kad sam hteo kupiti oni naravno prestanu, izgleda da onda ipak ostaje Brennenstuhl

Pa neće nestati iz prodaje preko noći, a kod mene 2kom evo pune 20 godina kako rade, nije da ima previše šta fu da se pokvari.
