TVTool ne radi sa GF4 MX

TVTool and GF4-MX does not work!
Recently the GeForce 4 generation came out. As usual there is a "light" version availabe, the GF4-MX. TVTool does not run on these cards and will probably never do! The reason is that nVidia uses an internal TV encoder chip which is integrated in the VGA chip, approximately for economical reasons. As you probably know there are no contacts to nVidia at all. No datasheets are available, nor any other information. Emails are not answered at all anyway. Without these informations the integration cannot be done. And I guess one can expect the usual "low level" support for the TV-out by the nVidia drivers. So my piece of advice for everybody who wants to use the TV-out seriously:

Hands off the GeForce4-MX!

The GF4-Ti comes with the well known external TV chips by the way and the support in TVTool should come quickly. A view of the final version 6.0. The support for the resolution 768x576 for Chrontel chips (PAL and NTSC) will be added. Also the wide screen signalling will be integrated. This makes it possible to set widescreen TVs, which are capable of WSS, into 16:9 or 14:9 mode directly through the software.

Nisam video GF4 MX na delu, ali ako je situacija sa tv izlazom ista kao kod ranijih kartica, on je stvarno skoro neupotrebljiv bez TVToola...

Ukoliko pod ono "neupotrebljiv" podrazumevas problem sa Macrovision zastitom, jedino resenje je nabaviti neki od player-a kome je ona "ukinuta". Ja imam jedan takav PowerDVD 3.0. Ne, nemam GF4MX440 karticu, vec GF2MX400 sa Philips tv-outom, a TvTool 6.0 ne mogu da registrujem...

Ni ja nisam mogao da registrujem tvtool, odnosno kao registrovao sam ga, ali se gasi posle 10 min. Imam gf2 mx400 sa kronotel tv autom. Rešenje je tvcc 2000. Program je free i odlično radi, bar kod mene. I ima skoro sve opcije kao tvtool.

Naravno... TV Tool 7.0 ce tek imati podrsku za GF4-ke...

Elem, sta ce ti TVT sa nV17 enkoderom?? Meni je slika bila savrseno pozicionirana i razvucena na JVC-u... i kod Gedze na Sony-ju...

Stvar je u tome sto ni jedan buduci tvtool nece podrzavati geforce 4 mx, vec samo "prave" cetvorke.

Bas to kaze autor, a meni (nisam probao GF4MX niti imam nameru da je nabavljam) to deluje kao bitna stvar za buduce vlasnike GF4MXova, posto je podrska na nivou drajvera po pravilu ocajna u odnosu na sve one fine opcije TVToola ( including iskljucivanje makrovizije).
