Hey, everyone ! Long time without update our blog followers about our works. As our facebook fans know since yesterday, we just received this week by our publishers some Xbox Dev Kits, that mean as our current development title are plan to be simul Multiplatform release, nothing can’t release this month but approximativly at the end of the years. It will be not reasonable to say before as from now we have minimum 3 month of work to cross all steps to Gold process. that’s why, we’d like to really apologize to all people who follow us for this huge delay [the reason of the picture choice enclosed into this post] :)

The classic shoot 'em up platformer Toki is getting the HD treatment, with an upcoming enhanced version from French developer Golgoth Studio. The studio -- which currently consists of six members -- intends on bringing the adventure back to life in with a "full 2D remixed version" based on the 1989 arcade original. In Toki HD, players must rescue his princess Miho from the evil sorcerer Vokimeldo, and reclaim his human form.

Toki HD producer Anthony De Sa Ferreira told Joystiq via email that -- while the game has no official platform as of yet -- the game has been submitted for approval for Games for Windows Live and Xbox Live Arcade. If its goal of resurrecting a classic arcade title isn't enough to get you on its side, Golgoth's motto of "2D refuses to die" might rope you in. Way to tug at our nostalgic heartstrings, guys. Resolution Magazine: On your website, you state that your goal is to keep 2D gaming alive in a 3D world. Why the focus on 2D?

Anthony De Sa Ferreira: Most of the guys here at Golgoth are around 30 years old, so we all grew up with the crazy 2D generation of games on the Atari, Amiga, NES, SNES etc. As such, we love to play and make 2D games. Our decision to focus on 2D games was one that came out of love for the style. That doesn’t mean we don’t like 3D games, but they are not really representative of what we would like to do. I also think 2D has an important part to play in gaming history, so I think it is important to save and preserve it.

RM: What made you choose Toki as your first release?

ADSF: We chose Toki for many different reasons, but firstly because I was personally a fan of the arcade version and our Art Director Philippe Dessoly was in charge of the graphics port of the Amiga version. Another point was that Toki has everything we like in a 2D game: platforming, action, plenty of humour, a rich variety of levels and great character design. For all these reasons we naturally chose Toki to start.



Izlazi za PC, PSN i XBLA. Trebalo bi da izdaju i na Steam-u, u suprotnom će poslati igru u komercijalnu provaliju na PC-u jer je GFWL suviše nepopularan. :)

WIN!!! :banana: Covece, koliko sam se samo zaludjivao ovim na aparatima, kao klinac. Izgleda da buducnost kvalitetnog igranja lezi u remake-ovima. :)

samo mi je sam majmunko manje simpatican nego u originalu, ostatak deluje obecavajuce :)
 
Baš tako! Izuzev čudnog majmunka, igra obećava. Obožavam platforme. Posle Shanka i Wormsa još jedna 2D igra!

Boze, koliko sam love dao na ovo... Iako sam imao Amigu i igrao tu verziju kod kuce, arcade verzija je neprevazidjena (mada je na Amigi muzika mozda bila bolja)

Sad ja majmun mozda malo previse "badass", ranije je plenio svojom flegmaticnoscu sta god da se desava, mada necemo da sitnicarimo - najveci su carevi sto uopste rade ovo.

To je kao da klincu u prvom razredu pricas: "To sto ti ucis je mnogo lako, znas..."

Nije mu lako, taman je za njega.

Tako je i ovo bilo taman za nas. Ako si ti tad imao 60 godina, sta da radimo.

Pokazi malo razumevanja, iskusni... :)

Stvarno su ove godine izašle dobre igre u 2D.
Vratili Worms-e, pa Shank, sad najavljuju TOKI...E kad bi glupi UBISoft shvatio poentu, pa neke sledeće HoMM VII vratio u 2D :S:

Da, primetio sam to odmah. Jedina zamerka.
 
Ma smeška se majmun nego mu na zadnji deo usne pada senka pa se ne primeti odmah, pogledajte bolje.
 
Samo čekam da izbace Rastan Saga rimejk i Chase HQ i to je to :)

Dragon ninja (Bad dudes VS Dragon Ninja) - arcade u PUNOM mislu te reci

Cloud Raider (sad ovog trenutka ne znam koji je originalni naslov) - najgotivnija aparat igra ikada.

Ghost And Goblins - prvi deo, remix. e to je ljudi igra, bukvalno si morao da budesh master igrach da bi presao

Mustafa! (kadilaks vs dinosaurus) - to bi TEK voleo da vidim u novoj verziji

Sunset Riders - legendarna igra.
 
Svaka cast za ovo, mada original izgleda bolje. Koliko sam samo sati igrao ovo na Amigi, svakako moja omiljena igra..

ko ovo nije igro na aparatu, taj ne zna sta su aparati :)

Ja sam ovo prešao sa Mess O. sa jednim žetonom - simpatično je bilo taj dan koliko sam više bodova imao od silnih Mustafa! :D

svaka cas'. znam da je sa mustafom bilo umece preci sa jednim zetonom, kako li si samo uspeo sa mess-om.

imala je fora da bacakas boss-ove levo desno, i da nihovo telo daje ostalima damage, al' ta fora je prestajala da funkcionise josh kod Slice-a (4ti bos u dzekovoj garazi)
 
Iskreno, upalio sam Mame posle nekog vremena i ni meni iz ove perspektive nije jasno kako li sam to uspevao... U principu nije igra bila toliko teška koliko onaj pretposlednji na nivo kad imaš 3 Slicea za glavne - to se znalo, ko preživi to, prelazi igru :)

Ali dobro, još mi je manje jasno kako sam Final Fight prelazio sa jednim žetonom ili one Capcomove aviončiće kad imaš da biraš 3 modela... ili Street Fighter 2jku sa Zangiefom a pritom sam imao samo 3 tastera :d

Tokija sa druge strane nikad nisam prešao sa jednim žetonom ali znao sam ljude koji su uspevali u tome... šta znam, imao sam ga na Atariju pa mi možda zato nije bio toliko zanimljiv na automatima :)
