Although based on the Doom III engine this game definitely is stressing graphics cards way more than that title. Therefore an excellent title to test and stress your graphics card solution with.
We have made a test that will run on the Prey single-player demo and should work fine with the actual game. Obviously you need to have the demo installed prior to using this script.
This is a VERY SIMPLE batch script that works really fast and automated. Basically what we did was record a small timedemo, made configurations based on High-Quality settings and then wrote a little batch script that will test the following resolutions
1024x768 0xAA 0xAF
1024x768 4xAA 16xAF
1280x1024 0xAA 0xAF
1280x1024 4xAA 16xAF
1600x1200 0xAA 0xAF
1600x1200 4xAA 16xAF
1920x1200 0xAA 0xAF
1920x1200 4xAA 16xAF
Obviously if your monitor support some resolutions simply edit "benchmark.bat"and remove the code segments that measure the performance of these resolutions.
Please follow the instruction of the "readme.txt" in the archive. And do not forget to edit benchmark.bat and where it states:
@set PREY=b:\your\path\to\prey\
Replace that line with the installation directory of Prey / Prey Demo.
Once the benchmarks are finished look in the Prey directory for files like: 0-0-1024x768.txt open it and almost at the bottom you can find scores displayed as so: 1466 frames rendered in 10.8 seconds = 136.2 fps
** The current (up-to) NVIDIA 91.33 ForceWare driver does not have a Prey profile yet. A side effect is that AA and AF is not enabled of you set your drivers at Application profile. Manually select 4xAA and 16xAF and then run the benchmark again. NVIDIA will have this fixed in their next driver release.
