Issues Resolved in Catalyst™ Software Suite 5.8
The following section provides a summary of the issues that have been resolved in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:
* Battlefield 2: Geometry corruption or missing textures are no longer noticed when playing the game for an extended period of time under Windows XP with an ATI Radeon® X800 XT installed
* 3D Mark03: Enabling Powerplay mode and running the 3DMark03 or 05 in a loop no longer results in an error message being displayed
* Area51_2.3dc: Playing the game under Windows XP no longer results in the NPC and guns appearing distorted, flashing or missing. Further the polygons no longer pop in and out of the display
* GTA: Vice City: Setting the desktop and the game display option to 1024x768 32bpp and attempting to play the game under Windows XP MCE, no longer results in an Invalid Pixel Format message being displayed after approximately 5 minutes of game play
* Lineage 2: Playing the game under Windows XP no longer results in display corruption being noticed
* Movie Maker 2: Connecting an external video source using the S-video composite connectors, no longer results in the Movie Maker 2 application intermittently failing to capture video, when selecting the Capture from Video Source
* MU Online: Opening a chat window and playing the on-line game no longer results in hesitation being noticed when pressing the Enter key
* Quake 3: Enabling SmartShader™ followed by attempting to do a mode change while playing the game, no longer results in the game failing to respond
* Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Running the Dantoonie level of the game no longer result in hesitation being noticed
* Terathon: Starting the Terathon 3D engine and selecting a single player demo, no longer results in the 3D engine failing to respond under Windows XP
* Trackmania Sunrise: Playing the game under Windows XP no longer results in the operating system failing to respond, when attempting to exit the game after leaving the PC idle for an extended period of time
* Warcraft III: Playing the game under Windows XP with the display rotated by 90 degrees CCW, no longer results in display corruption being noticed
* Performing an overwrite of the video driver install, no longer results in the Hydravision Multidesk feature being unable to load
* Video mode and Overscan can now be enabled when connecting a TV as the secondary display device and setting the display resolution to 640x480 32bpp 60Hz and extending the desktop
* The Select by Signal Format is now the default setting when connecting a TV to an ATI display adapter
* Catalyst™ Control Center: Updates to saved profiles is now available
* Catalyst™ Control Center: Connecting a TV using the S-Video connector no longer results in the Apply button found in the TV properties of the Catalyst Control Center being active when no changes are made to the TV properties
* Catalyst™ Control Center: An intermittent service error message is no longer displayed when starting up the Windows XP MCE operating system
* Connecting a TV as the secondary display device and a CRT as the primary display device, no longer results in the Video mode and Overscan option not functioning properly when extended desktop is enabled
* Catalyst™ Control Center: Double clicking anywhere on the Catalyst™ Control Center background after changing the color correction to the Full Screen 3D option no longer results in a full screen preview
* Hesitation is no longer noticed when attempting to resume from an S3 or S4 state with Analog tv
* Random display corruption is no longer noticed when playing a raw audio/video capture for the first time
* Configuring Windows Media Encoder 9 as ATI AVStream Analog capture and ATI AVStream Analog Audio capture, followed by selecting a TV channel as input, no longer results in the both the Input and Output windows going black when Start Encoding is clicked
* The DVB-T channel scan time no longer appears to be slow
Catalyst™ Control Center: Graphic truncation is no longer noticed under the Desktop and Display Setup of the Display Manager, in the German edition of the Catalyst Control Center
* Catalyst™ Control Center: The text found in the Overlay/VIDEOVISION section of the Catalyst™ Control Center is no longer cut-off for the Turkish edition of the Catalyst™ Control Center
* Setting the desktop resolution to 1024x768 32bpp and using the DVI connector to hot-plug an HDMI display device, no longer results in an error message being displayed
* Using the ATI recommended speed option found in the Overdrive™ tab of the Catalyst™ Control Center, no longer results in the engine and memory clock values being the same as the default values
* Using the DVI connector for a DFP display device, and the S-Video connector for a TV, no longer results in the driver returning the wrong display mappings when unplugging the DFP display device and extended desktop is enabled
* Catalyst™ Control Center: The Set Desktop Area To, is no longer enabled and the resolution list is no longer available, when hot-unplugging a secondary display device under Windows XP
* Playing an MPEG file on a secondary display device that is connected to the DVI port, no longer results in the lower portion of the playback window being missing

Cist trash od drivera, kao i verzija pre njega. U igri Dawn of War, kada se na ekranu nadje iole vise jedinica dolazi do strasnog seckanja i usporavanja - prvo sam mislio da je grafika geknula ali nije sa 5.6 verzijom sve ide normalno. Isto mi se desavalo sa Dungeon Siege 2 i jos par igara.

kod druga mi je pre par dana prestao da radi TV izlaz.. chuje se zvuk, ali nema slike... inache kartica je ASUS 9550 GE...
i ja reko ajde da skinem najnovije ATIjeve drajvere jer su ASUSovi najsvezhiji iz juna meseca...
skinem display driver i control panel 5.8
instaliram i restartuje se mashina, deluje sve ok, ali i dalje nema TV Outa...
ukljuchi TV out, iskljuchi, force detect TV, overlay, tamte vamte i nishta...
a sve normalno radilo...
i shta tjesh, neshto se zalomilo...
tek zove on mene sinoc.... ne radi mu komp
dodjem ja jutros kod njega u 07:14 i evo do sada...mrtvo...
pochne da dizhe sistem, ispishe WIN, plava linija se uchitava i kada treba da izbaci Welcome... stane... i ugasi se monitor...
ajde safemode, unistall, vga adapter, add new hardware, install 5.8 restart

unistall, ati uninstall all, install starije drajvere koji su mu bili na kompu...

unistall sve... startujem win sa vga adapterom... odma "prepozna" drajvere krene da instalira drajver ... zapuca...
unistall, obrishem sve shto pochinje sa ati iz System32, vga start, ruchno mu izaberem stare drajvere (from list), prepozna radeon 9550, promenim rezoluciju na 800x600 i 32k boja... apply

evo sad ovo pishem u 08:59 i ne znam sta je problem... ortak je zaspao od muke... da ne gleda...
ovo pishem tako shto sam sve obrisao, digao win i odbio da mu instaliram drajvere...
?!? what the fuck ?!?
pochinjem da se brinem da mu nije otishla grafichka...
skidam trenutno NGO drajvere i ASUS drajvere...
pa cemo da vidimo...

unistall, ati uninstall all, install starije drajvere koji su mu bili na kompu...
zapuca...
unistall sve... startujem win sa vga adapterom... odma "prepozna" drajvere krene da instalira drajver ... zapuca...
unistall, obrishem sve shto pochinje sa ati iz System32, vga start, ruchno mu izaberem stare drajvere (from list), prepozna radeon 9550, promenim rezoluciju na 800x600 i 32k boja... apply
zapuca...
evo sad ovo pishem u 08:59 i ne znam sta je problem... ortak je zaspao od muke... da ne gleda...
ovo pishem tako shto sam sve obrisao, digao win i odbio da mu instaliram drajvere...
?!? what the fuck ?!?
pochinjem da se brinem da mu nije otishla grafichka...
skidam trenutno NGO drajvere i ASUS drajvere...
pa cemo da vidimo...

na drugoj/mojoj mashini kartica nije htela da radi... kako smo ortak i ja kupili iste ASUS kartice od istog dilera, mogu samo da zakljuchim da je kartica prsla...
a diler se ne javlja na mob i na PM 😀 verovatno chovek na moru 😛

Meni A9550GE "peva" sa softmod 5.6 i 5.7 a kako vidim 5.8 necu ni da skidam, trenutno sam na 5.2 . Samo da napomenem da '"peva" i na def. clockovima jel ima jos neko ovakvih problema ?

Ista kartica isti problem, pre nedelju dana. Kartica "crkla", dao na reklamaciju, dobio drugu (Ares 9550) dok se ne resi reklamacija ove :-(

Bilo je vec price o ovome, kartica cvrkuce (mislim da zavojnica pisti posto mi se isto desavalo kad preklokujem bartona na nf 7), finta je da sa 5.2 malim pomeranjem clocka reshavam stvar (par MHz gore-dole) ali sa 5.6 i 5.7 cvrchi i na def clock-ovima, anyone have a clue ?

samo da se nadovezhem na moj raniji post. kartica je zamenjena, ubacio sam novu kod ortaka i XP nije hteo da se podigne. probao sam repair XPa kako je neko predlozhio i ni to nije pomoglo.
onda sam odradio chistu instalaciju i podigao se XP. dok sam instalirao obichne stvari odjednom je ponovo prestao da se loaduje. zakucavao je kada je trebao da pokazhe Wellcome ekran. opet sam reinstalirao sve i gledao sam posle chega puca i ispostavilo se da je pucalo kada se instaliraju Nforce drajveri za Epox plochu. Tachnije kada se instalirao GART drajver.
po gledanju u properties i dxsetupu video sam da je AGP disableovan. chim sam ga enableovao i probao da podignem sistem opet je zapucao.
moja najverovatnija konstatacija je da je stara kartica spaljena i da je oshtetila i AGP slot na matichnoj.
eh sad, ako neko ima neku drugu ideju bio bi mu zahvalan. ili mi recite da li mozhe da se AGP slot na plochi popravi/zameni. u pitanju je Epox 8rda+.

Jesi probao sa drugim driverima za chip-set? Može li ikako da se ne instalira taj GART ili je on u "paketu" sa ostalima? Mislim da "ručno" instaliraš driver za sve osim za taj AGP slot. Neka koristi Windows-ov driver!?!
Ne verujem da je AGP slot crkao, zašto bi? Šta ste mu radili, dizali AGP Voltažu? Držali V-Mod-ovanu karticu unjemu? Vadili "na živo" grafičku? :d

dakle. stara kartica je definitivno bila oshtetjena i zamenjena je na reklamaciji. lichno sam je probao na mojoj mashini u kojoj imam isti model i meni je spucavala na istom mest. znachi. znachi deo "kartica je spaljena" je definitivno tachan.
kartica nije bila ni overclockovana, ni flashovan BIOS, ni dizan napon, ni ne znam ni ja shta. samo ubodena u komp i na default, kao i procesor also.
podeshavanja u BIOSu su ostala ista kao i kada je stara kartica normalno radila. znachi izvadjena je stara, shebana, i ubachena nova, stigla sa reklamacije. i umesto da se XP odmah najnormalnije podigne, on je iz prve zapucao. uspeo je da dodje do desktopa ali je tada glavio. kako je neko na forumu napisao, probano je da se XP repairuje, a onda i pregazi. ali kao sto sam napisao ni to nije pomoglo.
za GART drajvere... definitvno se spucava XP kada se oni instaliraju. probao sam da instaliram motherboard drajvere za zvuchnu, mrezhnu, ide sw, bla bla itd. i sve prodje.
kada se instalira GART drajver ~ dodje do dela Wellcome, ne pojavi se taj ekran i pali-gasi se monitor i hard pochne da radi i resetuje se mashina... sama...
kada se udje u SAFE mode, sve je najnormalnije. kada se ne instalira GART sve je "ok". jedino sto mu tada grafichka radi kao PCI i nisam probao da poteram ni jednu igru, ali sumnjam da bi radile. probao sam i u BIOSu da stavim AGP 4x ali ni to nije pomoglo. znaci, bez GARTa pali se XP, sve deluje funkcionalno, mozhe mail, net, office. ali kada se pogleda recimo Dxdiag tamo pishe da je AGP disableovan. za enable treba GART drajver. a kako je mashina i za igranje a ne samo za office, treba natji reshenje.

Tako da me zanima da li ima josh neka ideja sta bi moglo da bude? ili da li se AGP na plochi mozhe popraviti.
