Need For Speed:Shift

- Electronic Arts has nailed down a release date for Need for Speed Shift, but don't expect it any time soon. The latest version of the popular racing franchise will hit North America September 22 of this year while Europe will get it a few days earlier on September 17.
Need for Speed Shift is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios in conjunction with Black Box. The PSP version is being made by EA's Bright Light Studio.

One of the biggest reasons that I'm sold on this year's game is that it doesn't focus on some crazy storyline or the latest in open world technology, but rather the pure driving experience. Rather than handling Shift internally, EA reached out to Slightly Mad Studios, the guys behind the GTR series on the PC (a critically acclaimed franchise to be sure). The results look to have paid off nicely.

This reboot for the series sports the largest roster of cars in the history of the franchise with a new focus on the cockpit view. "With Need for Speed SHIFT, we set out to create a racing game that pushes the genre and delivers something never before seen in a Need for Speed title," said Patrick Soderlund, Senior Vice President at EA Games Europe. "By focusing on the driver's experience through the first-person view, we are able to capture the high-speed intensity and gripping emotions of racing."

As for the feel of the vehicles, I'd put the game somewhere around the level of PGR in terms of realism, though it's admittedly been a while since I've played PGR so that might not be a perfect match. Regardless, it's certainly a far more realistic experience than pretty much any previous game in the franchise, and for my money, more fun to drive as well. To be sure, while it's not as demanding as Gran Turismo, you'll still need a fine touch on the accelerator, knowledge of whatever track you're on and, most of all, a large amount of respect for whatever vehicle you're in.

smaraju da izbacuju svake godine novi NFS, meni je zadnji dobar bio NFS underground zato sto je doneo neke novine, ovo posle je samo kopiranje

Ma kada je najavio ovaj Shift, ea je najavio jos dva, tri nfs naslova, ocigledno je to stancovanje igara da bi se unovcilo ime, kvalitet tu njima nije bitan

Da, da i na kraju se sve svede da se od vožnji ne ulazeći u kvalitet opet najviše vozi NFS!
Ja sam NFS fan, ali poslednji deo sam uključio, kreirao acc i krenuo posle 5 minuta sam isključio i obrisao igru ...
Onda sam posle toga instalirao NFS Porsche Unlished i sit se naigrao!:d
Bottom line is: nfs je jedna od retkih vožnji za pc koja pruža zaista dobru zabavu!
Nadam se da će shift biti dobar, odnosno bolji nego predhodnicim, jedva čekam da se pojavi!

Jedini nfs koji moze da nosi ime need for speed je Need for speed hot pursuit 2
I to ps2 verzija,posto je pc verzija bila bas krs.Kad urade ponovo tako nesto onda se mozda vrnem na nfs.

jeste bio je extra igra, uzivao sam u prelepim pejzazima i porshe autima
najbolji nfs je prvi hot pursuit, mada i underground je bio extra u to vreme

Na osnovu Underground su i stekli veliki kredibilitet sa kojim su pravili nove delove bez neke inovacije poboljsanje kvaliteta same igrice!
A na sve to je filmska industrija ima veliki uticaj tj film Fast and the Furios...I na osnovu svega toga oni su se oslonili na to da ce se igre prodavati ma kakav god kvalitet one nudile.
Ali sve su tu prokockali i sada se krece iznova, tj nadam se da ce tako biti zbog same igre...jer ako ne bude tako bice krs!

Underground ima najbolje odradjen grad i doneo je dosta novina,ali nema ono sto hot pursuit 2 ima.
A to je priroda,realisticno ponasanje automobila(sto bas nije stalna pojava za nfs fransizu) i brdo automobila.Dok se u ovim novim nfs igrama svi automobili vrte u krug godinama!

ja mislim da ce ovaj studio da napravi nesto od ove igre, ako ne gresim ovaj NFS ce biti realna simulacija (ne kao GT)
bilo bi lepo da igram o5 neki NFS sa uzivanjem, a to nije bio slucaj od Underground-a
radili su do sad par trka, mnogi ih hvale, ja ih nisam licno probao osim M3, al to je samo reklama za novi M3
