Next Modern Warfare a prequel?
A hot rumor has sprung that the next Modern Warfare game from the series originated by Infinity Ward -- what's left of the developer after Jason West, Victor Zampella and loyal staff left them -- and will be a prequel, showing how the Ghost character came to be recruited into Task Force 141.
According to the reportedly reliable source, the story will be partly based on David Lapham's comic book series, and will revisiting locations from the previous Modern Warfare titles. The game will be based on the Modern Warfare 2 engine.
There's no word on who will develop the game. It could be the depleted Infinity Ward, but there's a good chance veteran developer Raven Software may be working on the game.
