Yesterday we published some details regarding the plans of several companies which are known as motherboards manufacturers, in expanding their videocard business. However, well-known companies who deal exclusively with videocards also have plans of growth.
For example, Gainward, who was rather unknown OEM manufacturer in the beginning of 2000, reports record [for them] revenues for the fiscal 2000/2001. During the last year Gainward have succeeded in refocusing its strategy from being an unknown OEM manufacturer to establishing the proprietary and successful Gainward brand.
Gainward Europe GmbH, the European sales and marketing organization of Gainward Ltd., Taiwan reports that revenue grew in Europe for FY2000 to FY2001 by 270,50% from ˆ8.700.000 to ˆ32.100.00. Earnings before tax were up by 1500% to approximately ˆ500.000. In FY2002 Gainward Europe GmbH expects to grow revenue by at least a further 90% to ˆ60.000.000.
