While probably working on 3DMark Vantage's successor, Futuremark has decided to expand its online reach and launch the Peacekeeper browser benchmark. Available
here in beta form, Peacekeeper will test out browsers to point out which one delivers the best performance on your system.
The five tests conducted are data structures, DOM (Document Object Model) operations, text parsing, rendering, and 'real life example', and they will give out a score, the higher the better, of course. From Peacekeeper's statistics Safari 4.0 (beta) is the fastest thing around, coring 2264 points on a Core i7 system, followed by Chrome 1.0 and Opera 9.6. Interestingly-enough, the most popular browser tested is Firefox (3.0.6), followed by Chrome 1.0 and Opera 9.63. Internet Explorer 7 is on fourth. Enough statistics, let's see your
