Ovu poteznu, fantazijsku, stratesku igru razvija i izdaje Stardock, a sam dizajn i grafika su vrlo simpaticni. Igra je najavljena za februar 2010.

Elemental: War of Magic is set in a world filled with magic and ancient lore. As the ruler of your kingdom, you must expand your empire through a combination of magical power, military might, diplomatic skill, technological advancement and bold adventuring. Your worlds will be of your choosing, or players are free to create their own.

The story of Elemental: War of Magic begins with an immersive single player campaign with you being the only person in your kingdom with the ability to channel magic through mysterious shards of magic that are scattered across the world. These shards, a result of a tremendous cataclysm that occurred a century prior when powerful beings waged war across the world, are the source of much of the world's magic.

With the powers of old now gone, you now hold the key to the use of magic in your land. As ruler of your land and a channeler of magic, you must decide how much of your power to imbue into your heroes as you build new cities, explore dungeons, perfect spells of ever-increasing power and negotiate with friends and foes alike.

The latest title from Stardock, dubbed Elemental: War of Magic, is a strategy game that company CEO Brad Wardell characterizes as "like Civilization, but with magic."

The game, scheduled to hit the PC in February of 2010, furthers Stardock's commitment to standing out. To wit, Wardell told me in an interview last week that E: WoM "incorporates modding much more than any game you’ve seen."

As an example, Wardell said players can use the game's modding tools to create a new dungeon. Once complete, they simply hit "submit," and after the added content goes through moderation, it is automatically added to every copy of the game around the world.

While players are able to opt out of these automatic updates, this opens the game up to an almost endless stream of additional content -- none of which even includes official expansions from Stardock itself.

This, like the recently released LittleBigPlanet, is the sort of thing we were all promised with the advent of broadband internet, and it's good to see someone finally take advantage of it.

***. totalno otkacen dizajn. :) Prvi put cujem za ovu igru, ali ovih par screenova je bilo dovoljno da je zgotivim u startu... Drago mi je da se P&C startegije polako vracaju na scenu i nadam se da ce ih biti u sve vecem broju (pasionirani heroes fan :D)...

Ovo lici na Master od magic , steta sto je graficki tim sve projektovao u paint-u :D
 
Grafika bash iskusno izgleda,kao neki zeshci Pixel Shading(ala Silverfall ili moon ili kako se vec zove onaj hack and slash rpg).

Inače, dizajn je odvratan. Pokušaj crtaća, ali sa toliko blura u teksturama izgleda skroz isprano. Kao deca kad nešto pokušaju da nacrtaju grafitnom olovkom, pa onako sve zamrljaju prstima. Kao zamrljana bojanka, to je još bolje poređenje.
 
Poslednja izmena:
Mozda jeste malo cartoonish, ali ko je igrao Heroje, lako ce se navici na ovaj dizajn. Samo mi nije jasno jel ovo na drugoj, trecoj, cetvrtoj i petoj slici adventure mapa? Posto nema nikakvih ajtema i artifakta, samo priroda i pokoje cudoviste. Deluje mi prazno...
 
Meni dosta lici na Heroje.
 
pa namerno je radjena ovom tehnikom igra... i meni se svidja... originalno je deluje bash simpatichno od onih zgromi zprzi wannabe igara
 
Mnogo iskusno izgleda ako se ta shading tehnika dobro upotrebi kao ovde.

Stardock, galciv2, ovo ce biti vrh, dugo u produkciji, izlazi 2010, ma ovo ce biti model za buduce poredje tbs garantujem.

Izvukoh i ovo. Jako zanimljivo, a posebno me iznenadio deo o genetski naslednom izgledu :D

The dynasty system has proven to be far more interesting than we had realized. In Elemental, the player exists in the game as a specific unit (the sovereign). The sovereign can have children who appear in the game as champions with various powers. These units can be married off to other kingdoms to secure alliances and gain other political advantage. In turn, they can have children. We have a genetic algorithm for producing the children, which has had some interesting visual results. In one game, I married my beautiful daughter to a trog monster. I will require many months of therapy to recover after seeing their child.

Probably the biggest difference in our strategy on computer AI is that we're going to expose our AI algorithms to players via Python. In Galactic Civilizations, I wrote the AI myself, and as good as it was, there was always the limitation of "it could only be as good as I was." In Elemental, I'm writing the computer AI again, but this time, when it's done, players will be able to modify it as well.
 
odigrao sam nocas nesto malo, sat dva.. i deluje zanimljivo :) strategija/taktika/rpg ... stvarno fino deluje! samo kako igrati ovo pored sc2 ??!
 
Da li je neko naterao 1.07 patch da proradi sa ovim ?
