Ortaku sa XP1700, 256MB, GForce4 preporodilo igrivost, na masini iz potpisa primecujem da nema vise seckanja kada stignete u industrial eru i nadalje.. Tezina 44.8MB

Lista ispravki:
v1.52 is a major upgrade to Civ IV and includes numerous optimizations for memory usage that should help performance on all machines but are tailored to especially improve performance on machines at or near the minimum specification.

Major changes include:

-Shared low-level graphics buffers

-Removed many unused fonts and reduced interface memory usgae

-Paged out units which are not visible

-Reduced terrain data size and overhead

-Reduced route data size

-Created a set of low-res movies for machines without dynamic texture support (this is a separate download)

These changes not only reduced the amount of system memory required, but lowered video memory usage extensively. Also, the rate at which the game consumes memory in the late-game has decreased, which is extremely important.

In addition, a new config file (ini) option called 'MemorySaver' has been added for further memory reduction, at the cost of alt-tabbing support. If you set MemorySaver=1 in the config file, you can lower your system memory usage by 70% of video memory. So if you have a 128MB video card, you can save an additional ~90MB of system memory. MemorySaver defaults to off, and is not officially recommended since it doesn't handle alt-tabbing and other cases of graphics device loss at this time. However, we recognize that some users may want to experiment with it.

- Tweaked AI civic values
- Filled in missing diplo entries for Frederick
- Praetorians: 40->45 hammers
- Jaguars: 40->35 hammers
- AI turn optimizations
- Interface game messages are now flushed at end of turn
- Environmentalism moved to Medicine
- Increased industrial era tech costs
- Environmentalism is medium upkeep
- Free Speech is low upkeep
- Forests give 0.5 health
- Firepower in combat now based on max strength
- Lobby sorting improvements
- Clearing the table in the MP diplomacy screen resets the "They accept/They do not accept" text
- Dawn of man screen closes with ESCAPE just like all the other interface screens
- The hall of fame now shows only games that have been played with the currently-loaded mod
- When trying to build an item that it not allowed in a city, you will get a production popup asking for a build instead of leaving production empty
- Wonder Movies and other popups may appear in PBEM/Hotseat
- Incremented save version to 102
- Simplified city billboard placement. This should fix the weird billboard offsets and scaling.

Additions:
- Lobby chat and buddy lists from staging rooms
- Combat odds now shown in combat turn log
- ALT-S now allows you to place signs
- Added "Leave Forest" option for automated workers
- Added Marathon game speed (longer than Epic)
- Added NoTechSplash ini setting
- More communication about autopatch failures
- Domestic advisor remembers which cities you had selected last time screen was up.
- Added "no cheating" game option for single-player
- In addition to tradeable techs, techs that are not allowed to be traded to you are also shown, provided that you can research them yourself at the moment
- Added event and replay messages when a human founds a city. This got broken when we added city renaming
- Support for Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
- When you zoom to a city from the domestic advisor, you return to the domestic advisor after you exit the city screen
- Updated Info Screen with changes 'borrowed' from one of the forum modders

- Diplomacy bug for PBEM/Hotsesat
- Removed some cheats from password-protected games that should not have been allowed in the first place
- Fix for competitive games: Password-protected saves can no longer be easily stripped of their passwords, and the assets checksum in the save can no longer be modified by external means
- Fixed vanishing yield symbols in multiplayer
- Fixed some PBEM/Hotseat issues when there is just one human player
- River and Wind sounds are now properly classified as ambience. This fixes inconsistent behavior in audio options
- Minimized or No Interface no longer reverts to normal after entering, then exiting city view
- You can no longer duplicate deals with the AI from the "Active deals" section of the diplomacy screen
- Out of memory message problem on machines that don't allocate small textures properly
- Assert error for software vertex processing only machines
- Bug where you could draw strategy lines and signs outside of globe view
- "globe view buildings disabled" option now hides buildings in globe view properly

Jel nema potrebe za predhodnim pecevima, jel potrebno samo ovaj pokrenuti nakon instalacije ?
Imam neki 1.09 ali jos nisam stigao da ga pokrenem :)
 
ja skinuo, ali nema nekog must have napredka... meni je najvishe prijao real mode (mod za civ) koji sam skinuo sa nekog fan sajta, koji usporava razvoj tehnologije, ali ne i vreme za izgradnju jedinica... tako mi je nekako najrealije ;)
 
Evo i ja sam nabacio patch i cini mi se da je znatno brze i ucitavanje statusa i igranje,ali ima jedan mnogo dosadan bug: s vremena na vreme mi se igra extra (ali extra) uspori, boje se deformisu (pasnjaci postanu crni, brda narandzasta). Onda se prebacim u win pa vratim u igru i sve bude ok.

Nekako mi to smrdi na drajvere. Meni se sa 77.77 WHQL to nikad nije desilo..

Ma,civ4 je extra dobra igra,vredi istrpiti neki bug...

Da da probao sam sa ovim patch-om, mnogo je sve bolje, sve super sljaka na notebook-u Toshiba Satellite A35-S159, tako da verujem da ce svima proraditi, kapiram da svi imaju bolje graficke u svojim kompovima ;)
 
Evo resenja

Ljudi slucajno sam saznao kako da se smanji zahtevnost na Civ 4. Napomena ovo nije piratski zahvat i ovo je skinuto sa legalnog civ sajta ( http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=146309).
Ovako za pocetak skinuti harkfix.zip fajl i postupiti po uputstvu iz njega. Uktatko ova 3 fajla treba malo promeniti, dodati im nove vrednosti i gotovo. Igra radi mnogo brze, cak i na slabojim grafickim karticama.

ako pogledash na civfanatics forumu, navodi se da patch 1.52 radi te iste stvari, a ide i dalje u optimizaciji...
 
Stvarno se preporodila igra sa ovim patchetom, nisam ocekivao bas takvo poboljsanje.

ja sam siguran da sa ova 3 fajla i pechom 1.52 radi sigurno brze nego samo sa pechom!
 
Mnoooogo vaznija stvar je sto sa 1.52 verzijom civ napokon moze da se igra u multiplayeru, a da ne napravi probleme. Evo pre neki dan sa ortakom sam igrao oko osam sati neprekidno bez i jednog problema. Ako i swapuje nije strasno, samo da ne puca. Zaista je must have za sve koji misle da stvarno igraju CivIV.

Hark's patch will not be loaded after installing 1.52 (so you don't have to uninstall it). 1.52 has extensive memory and performance improvements, (beyond what the Hark patch does), so no additional patches should be used.

Some notes from me:

1) When I installed 1.52, my patch wasn't loaded. I guess the update overwrites 'zlib1.dll'. Note for Thamer: does it overwrite 'python24.dll'?

2) Mem-savings with 1.52 are better than with my fix (according to task manager), but speed and disk access (?) is worse.

3) Running my fix with 1.52 and MemSaver = 1 does not have any effect at all (except FPS/primitive_count meters) since now everything is created in video memory (current versions of my fix don't affect such allocations).

4) Running my fix with 1.52 and MemSaver = 0 crashes at start-up. I didn't see anyone having this, but at least I have. I will check this.

5) Globe view has become faster on its own (even with buildings enabled).

6) 'Disable buildings in globe view' works a little wrong - it hides city billboards instead of buildings :D Anyway, it speeds things up.

7) Movies stuttering problem is still not solved, though I've told the reason in my fix thread. Basically, they stutter when there is some unexpected slow-down (e.g. swapping) when the movie starts. This was in 1.00, 1.09 and now in 1.52.

I don't know why, but I see that some of you still get my fix working right after installing 1.52. This is not ok! At least this wasn't intention of 1.52. Neither me, nor Firaxis are interested in my fix to be started with 1.52 because it does not improve anything with 1.52 or even worse - it may cause 1.52 to crash. So... READ ON.

I tried 1.52 via executable mirrored at CFC (not in-game 'check for updates'). I pay for traffic, so I prefer keeping those downloads stored in the place I know. This way I had my patch nullified via overwriting 'zlib1.dll' by the installer, I did nothing. Probably updateing via mirrored executable instead of in-game update was the reason for update to work nicely. Civ4 wasn't running by the time of update.

Read the bottom of post #1 here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=146309). It has original 'zlib1.dll' link. Anyway, I'd suggest to reinstall 1.52 or entire game since this may be the sign of more unupdated entities.

Note to thamer - with 1.52 game unloads a bit longer again. I don't know how updater is started, but if it does not wait for civ4.exe process to finish (or waits for too short hardcoded delay), it'll fail to update many binaries, including 'zlib1.dll' and even civ4.exe... I don't know if in-game installer reports these errors or silently eats them...

Ako se tebi chini da radi brze, to je ili placebo efekat ili ti sam patch ne radi jer nije updateovano kako treba.

Set MemorySaver=1 int the config ini file (it defaults to 0) for the maximum amount of memory reduction. However, alt-tab isn't supported with that on.

Ja za sad nisam imao problem sa muljanjem i promenama boja na koje se, vidim, dosta ljudi zali...
 
I pre patcha radila mi je super,a sad letiii :) nego jeste li probali Srbija mod?
 
posle instaliranog patcha
jeste da je sve brze, ali......

prva civilizacija na koju sam naisao (Barbarian) ima T-shirt sa nazivom Firaxis, i izgleda ko Stiven iz dinastije, a ne kao neki barbarin :)

kad mi nudi neku trgovinu (npr.) open borders
ponavlja jedno te isto u svakom krugu ukoliko ja odbijem
u pocetku nije strasno, ali kad tako krene nonstop da se desava
igranje pocne da bude stvarno iritantno

o cemu se radi??

ps. da napomenem da mi nakon instaliranja patcha srbija vise ne sljaka
 
Meni ni ovaj patch nije pomogao da pokrenem igru... Probao sam na jos 3 masine i na svakoj je radila fino, ali kod mene jednostavno ni da cuje...
 
Kakvi su utisci sa najnovijim patchom 1.61,vidim da je dosta stvari poboljsano?
KRenuo bih da igram civ u ove vruce letnje dane,pa me zanima i da li se ocekuje uskoro josh neki patch,da ne pocinjem sa starim onda?

Ma imam ja dobru grafičku (GeForce 6600GT), ali ja još uvek imam modem
pa ne mogu da skinem patch! Izgleda da ću morati i dalje da se sačuvavam svaki turn. :wall: :wall: :mad: :wall: :wall: :crash:
 
2K Games su objavili da je ekspanzija Civilization IV: Warlords dostigla "zlatni" status, te da ce stici u prodavnice u Severnoj Americi od 24. Jula.

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Warlords donosi osam novih scenarija fokusiranih na neke od najvecih vojskovodja u istoriji. Dodate su nove jedinice, nove civilizacije, nova svetska cuda itd. itd.

i ja sam instalirao Civ4 da ubijem vreme leti,i veoma sam zadovoljan sa 1.61 posebno sa vremenom učitavanja koje je dosta brže nego u prethodnoj verziji.
A što se tiče Warlordsa,gledao sam screenova i moći će da se pravi "kineski zid"...vrh :)
 
Posto je izasla ekspanizja Warlords za Civ 4,zanima me da li su u njoj implementirani svi dosada izasli patcevi za Civ 4 i da li ce odsada patchevei izlaziti samo za ekspanizju?

Ljudi nakon instalacije Civilization IV da li je potrebno da instaliram Warlords expanziju pa Beyond the sword ili SAMO Beyond the sword (bez Warlords) posto sam cuo da je sadrzi u sebi?
 
Ako se dobro sećam, možeš istalirati samo Beyond the sword, bez Warlords.

Mada je BTS još uvek prilično razvaljen, čeka se patch da ga skroz sredi.
