Sa TVTool foruma:
Some of my observation with ATI Cards (in regards to the info on the front page):
1. ATI Cards can enable overscan through a registry patch.
2. ATI Cards can not disable filtering, only lower the filter level.
3. There is a issue with the Radeon 8500 hardware gamma control which is adding aliasing to the image. This has been observed quite a bit at www.avsforum.com
4. The Radeon series overlay surface is somehow anisotropic filtered which makes it appear to have more artifacts. It seems to sharpen the image, some people prefer it, but personally, it bugged me so badly, I went back to a TNT2.
5. The ATI drivers are a mess. With some drivers you get a certain image and on other versions you get a different image. Not to mention the various bugs.
I tested tha Radeon 32 PCI, Radeon 64 VIVO and the Radeon 8500.
I prefer the TV-Out on my bt869 chip.
