After taking some time off the EastKoast duo a.k.a. Moonman & tiborrr is back. We had a chance to play with Striker II Extreme motherboard, so we quickly seized the opportunity to play with some SLI. System specifications:
CPU: Intel C2D E8500 @ 5510MHz 1.87V (580x9.5)
M/B: ASUS Striker II Extreme (nForce 790i Ultra SLI)
MEM: 2x512MB Crucial 8500F DDR3-1066@2010 8-7-7-21 1T (2.08V)
VGA: 2x Point Of View 8800GT @ 848/972MHz, 1.36V
HDD: 2GB SSD Sandisk Extreme IV SATA2
PSU: 700W Be-Quiet (= FSP Group) PSU
Cooling:
- CPU under 2-stage Sharp's R404a/R1150 (2x 1/2HP) cascade
NB watercooled (Swiftech D5, Magicool 1x120 radiator, Delta 120mm 6000RPM fan)
VGAs aircooled (2x Accelero S1 /w 120mm fans + additional Vantec Tornado 92mm to cool VGA's PWM)

After about eleven hours of non-stop benching (to get this board stable was quite a tricky job) we didn't had any energy (still haven't gone to sleep) left and simply forgot to take a screenshot, so only ORB this time. But we have screenshot of one of the intermediate runs:
With better GPU cooling, higher GPU frequencies and perhaps stronger PSU 114k could perhaps be doable at 5.51GHz. We will defenitly try to improve it :yepp:
