Šta je novo?

NVIDIA ForceWare - diskusija, pitanja, linkovi

Izgleda da 2xx.xx serija ne radi bas najbolje kod mene na Win XP SP2.
Nazhalost, imam iste probleme sa WHQL verzijom kao sto sam imao sa betom.

Posle instalacije drivera, nview desktop manager se ne instalira dobro pa mi ostane "pokvarena ikonica" (broken icon) u control panelu, kaze da mu fali neki .dll. To sam donekle reshio ponovnom instalacijom nview-a.

Podeshavanje u nVcp-u mi ne radi. Sta god podesio u manage 3d settings, stalno vraca na default. Naravno uvek overim apply. Kad pokusham ruchno da ubacim .exe od neke igre, izbaci mi dont send error.
Klikom na restore default uvek me primorava na apply, iako je vec sve na default.
Kad se dizhe Win, ispod Win logoa, na sec se pojavi "windows is starting up"

Windows je svez, nema ni 7 dana...
Prethodni driver sam obrisao iz CP-a, ochistio driver sweeper-om, CCleaner-om. Uglavnom, standardni proces koji uvek radim sa brisanjem drivera, i nikad nisam imao problema.

Jel ima neko slichnih problema? Pre svega mislim na ljude koji su na XP-u (ako vas i dalje ima :D). Moguce da je driver pisan za XP SP3, sta znam... Ako neko na XP-u moze da proveri, bio bih mu zahvalan.


197.45 WHQL radi savrsheno, nista od gore navedenog se ne pojavljuje. :)
 
Ja nerazumem kako neko sad moze koristiti XP SP2, totalno nesiguran sistem...
takodje drivere updatovati normalno... cleanere , sweepere i ostalo koristiti samo usled problema... posto i oni sami mogu napraviti problem
 
Instalirao sam kod mene, rade ok. Nisam video nikakav bug ili slično. Sad ću malo da ih testiram u igrama.
 
Mislish pregaziti preko starih, ili "najobichnija" uninstalacija pa instaliranje novih?

Pregazis ih samo.... tako je i predvidjeno da se radi, neznam sto ljudi komplikuju pa jos sa time naprave problem...
uninstall jedino kod zamene graficke sa ATI-em...

Ok, now when I try to hit apply and go back into the Nvidia control panel the following options are changed, and I cant get them to stick.

Antialiasing - Gamma Correction: Off
Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration: Multiple display performance mode
SLI rendering mode: Nvidia Recommended
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow
Texture filtering - Quality: Quality
Triple Buffering: Off

Im thinking there might be a bug in the new drivers or something because the options dont stick like they did with older drivers. Is anyone else having a problem with this or when i set them and they revert back is that the best settings for my system. I think the main thing im worried about is the SLI rendering mode being at nvidia recommended instead of force alternate frame rendering 2, to use my two cards. Any help on this would be great. Another quick side note about these beta drivers, i put on my SLI indicator to see if its active....they are but when i exit out and go back into the control panel it says that its unchecked...........soooooooooo when i go back into my games the damn sli indicator is there still, im ticked at these new drivers people

Jedno od reshenja:

I did just go ahead and did this:

- Uninstall everything related to nVIDIA in the program and features list
- Ran both Drive Sweeper and Driver Cleaner
- Rebooted into Safe Mode, ran both Drive Sweeper and Driver Cleaner once more and went a head to the device manager and right clicked on the display adapter and uninstalled it and told windows to remove the drivers from my system.


Rebooted back into Safe Mode, found out that neither Drive Sweeper nor Driver Cleaner removed the nVIDIA folder in the Programs Data nor the Roaming folder of Windows7 so I deleted this manually, then I ran a Ccleaner registry clean.

Then I went ahead and made sure Drive Sweeper didn't pick up anything nVIDIA related any more and did also do a ADVANCED Driver Cleaner sweep.


Another reboot into Safe Mode and installed the 257.15 drivers again, rebooting back into normal Windows7 installed them once more over the safe mode installation, along with manually adding the drivers in the device manager by using the Update driver feature, then I rebooted once more and did install everything once again with the provided nVIDIA installer.


Lastly I ran the PhysX installer manually just to be sure it's included.



I'll bet all this was WAY OVERKILL, but no my drivers works flawlessly at least, no saving issues within the control panel any more! HURRAY!

i fixed my problem with 3D settings.
After uninstallation of drivers and device i used driver sweeper, registry cleaner etc - but they ddnt del all - in system32 there were few files left from older drivers. After i removed EVERy possible file that was signed by nvidia and all folders ( check in program files,program data, and system32) i rebooted - and installed new drivers. No more problem with 3d settings.

Care pređi na win7, nećeš zažaliti. Barem probaj dual boot :)

Bih ja, samo da me nije prodao dvd chitach (samo cd chita). USB flesh veci od 2 Gb nemam... :(:D

GeForce Forceware 258.49 WHQL

Pojavili su se na guru3d novi zvanični drajveri.
 
Uh sa ovim novim WHQL 257.21 drajverima ima i te kako problema. 9800gx2 je u pitanju i kada instaliram nove drajvere Counter Strike:Source toliko laguje da je nemoguce igrati. I ako mi je fps preko 150 konstantno i ping <38 (da ne pomislite da je do toga) igra nenormalno secka i laguje. Probao sam da razinstaliram drajvere i obrisao sve repove, pa instalirao nove ponovo i opet isto. Kad vratim na stare sve radi super. Nekoliko puta sam probao ali nema vajde.. opet nVidia nesto zas.... kao po obicaju. Koristim Win 7 pro x64 legalan.
Da li jos neko ima ovakve probleme???
 
Ne igram CS, ali ostale igre koje imam na kompu trenutno (Split Second, Blur, Assassin's Creed 2) rade nekako isto... Nisam primetio nikakve probleme.

Probaj da smanjis Maximum pre-rendered frames.

Smanjivao sam, ali ne vredi. Interesantno da sam prebacio karticu na deciji racunar i instalirao nove drajvere, ali oni imaju Win 7 32bit i sve radi normalno. Moguce da su nesto prevideli kod 64-bitnih drajvera???

The NVIDIA developer site shows a new driver today. Please consider this driver BETA. Windows driver version 259.31 and Linux drivers version 256.38.03 provide full support for OpenGL 4.1 and GLSL 4.10 on capable hardware.

This driver also supports several new OpenGL extensions for both 4.1-capable GPUs and older GPUs. Judging from the setup files, pretty much any geForce graphics cards starting at series 6 and younger is supported. Please share your experiences on this driver.

Tu je i nova opcija "Dynamic Tiling" - multi-gpu multi-thread performance booster navodno.
 
Lepo izgleda, ali to je samo instal screen. Da li su dzarali i CP, to je pitanje...:)
 
Dynamic Tiling Description:

Simultaneous multithreaded (SMT) processors use data caches which are dynamically shared between threads. Depending on the processor workload, sharing the data cache may harm performance due to excessive cache conflicts. A way to overcome this problem is to physically partition the cache between threads. Unfortunately, partitioning the cache requires additional hardware and may lead to lower utilisation of the cache in certain workloads. It is therefore important to consider software mechanisms to implicitly partition the cache between threads by controlling the locations in the cache in which each thread can load data. This paper proposes standard program transformations for partitioning the shared data caches of SMT processors, if and only if there are conflicts between threads in the shared cache at runtime. We propose transformations based on dynamic tiling. The key idea is to use two tile sizes in the program, one for single-threaded execution mode and one suitable for multithreaded execution mode and switch between tile sizes at runtime. Our transformations combine dynamic tiling with either copying or storing arrays in block layout. The paper presents an implementation of these transformations along with runtime mechanisms for detecting cache contention between threads and react to it on-the-fly. Our experimental results show that for regular, perfect loop nests, these transformations provide substantial performance improvements.


Example:

CPU Intensive games running on more then 2 cores may benefit by increasing this value to 2 or higher.
