Announcing the Beta EVO, a sleek, all black value packed mid tower case at a budget price. Full of options for expansion, the case fits high performance 10.5” graphics cards, up to 4 external 5.25” drives and 5 internal 3.5” HDD racks. Beta EVO provides a number of features that significantly enhance ease of installation including screwless installation for 5.25” drives and superior wire management capabilities with the bottom mounted PSU and 180° turned HDD cage. It also features punched holes in the motherboard allowing for quick CPU bracket removal.

Performance

The NZXT Beta EVO performed outstandingly, especially for the price point, with superb functionality to boot. The temperature of the system was close to room temperature, with only a one degree rise under load. The provisions for additional cooling fans are a nice touch for the price point and gives more than enough airflow through the case, even with two dual GPU graphics cards within the system. The screw less design functioned very well, allowing quick tool less drive installs and changes, making the installation of the system very simple.

Reviewer's Opinion

The NZXT Beta EVO is a great case to build a system around, especially if you are on a budget, but don’t want to sacrifice on the capabilities of the case. The tool less design is a great feature that tends to be something more associated with higher dollar cases. The excellent ventilation also proves to be an exception to the rule for cases of this price point. Though the case only comes with one fan installed, the ventilation alone proved to be great when looking at the case’s overall performance. In many instances, a case in this price point normally tends to suffer from a lack of ventilation and fans, with noticeably higher then ambient system temperatures. This just is not the case with the Beta EVO, which really helps to push this case above the rest for an excellent case at a very affordable price.

Summary
Simply because a case is being marketed as budget does not mean that it is of budget quality. The Beta EVO arrived as a fully featured mid tower, performed as such, but is priced as though it is something substantially less. Featuring water cooling capability, plenty of spaces through which wires may be routed and plenty of fan spaces, this is a beast of a case, and you can't forget the interior paint.
As a mobile mid tower, the Beta EVO features the aesthetics and wiring potential to keep your machine looking great. While it doesn't stand out as boldly as other cases, it does not sacrifice utility or performance to achieve the aesthetic appeal it has.
The slightly bent tab above the PSU was a small gripe, not a big one. I'm also disappointed with only 1 fan being included, but I suppose that this would put it into another price bracket. I honestly can't think of much that is wrong with this case. The main chassis is sturdy, it is pretty roomy.
Priced at about $60 USD, this case is a deal like no other, and better than many cases I've used that cost $30 more in both looks and utility. All these wire routing options (can't stop mentioning them, they're so great!), and no need for a Dremel! It can easily trump many other cases in its price segment, and even some above it. Probably not the best buy if your main concern is computer pimping, but it is definitely the best buy if nearly anything else has an influence on your selection.
