Overclocking Test of Pentium E6500K: Intel’s New Secret Weapon

AMD’s Black Edition processors with unlocked multipliers have been very popular and successful, whereas Intel has locked multipliers on all but its expensive Extreme Edition processors. And now, the status is about to change with the arrival of Pentium E6500K.
According to Intel’s latest roadmap, Intel will launch the Pentium Dual-Core E6500 with a 2.93GHz clock speed on August 9th. Except for being the highest-end processor from Pentium series, E6500 doesn’t bring any exciting features.

Fortunately, it seems that Intel has something else up its sleeve, E6500K, which has silently hit stores in China. The CPU targets mid-range and low-end segment, with retail price of RMB700 (which is about $102).

E6500 is now available for $84 in business quantities, and E6500K should be priced equally.
A bit different from previous blue tradition, E6500K is packed by a small blue and black box. You know, Intel’s Extreme Edition processors are all wrapped by all-black boxes.

The package bears the word “Limited Edition” on the top, and “unlocked” at the bottom right hand corner. (The characters are typed in Chinese.) We guess “Limited Edition” means it’s available in China only, which has been officially confirmed by Intel. Daniel Snyder, Intel’s spokesman, told Xbitlabs that “This is a PRC-only pilot for now. At the end of the pilot, Intel will determine what, if any other similar product should be offered in other geographies.”
We tried to look for some specs about E6500K or E6500 at Intel website, but failed. Hopefully more details will be unveiled after August 9th.

Hmmmm zanimljivo samo jos da se pojavi kod nas...

Sta se desava sa ovim Cpu-om sto ga nema jos uvek kod nas?

Vidim da se pominje E6500 i E6500K. Jel to u stvari isti procesor? Jel stiglo ovo u Srbiju, buduci da su pocele isporuke 9-tog avgusta?

Zasad moze E6300. A ne znam da li se pojavio ovaj e6500

Nije a ni nemora da se pojavljuje kada je djubre a ja se ponadao kao dobar Cpu za male pare.

Zasto djubre? Malo ti sto moze sigurno da se o/c na 3.6ghz? Treba ti brze pa jos da bude oko 70eur.:d

Pa realno jeste E6300 moze da ide i na 4ghz realno bi bilo da ga ovaj nadmasi u oc-u cemu par mhz vise na def-u kad je u OC-u djubre otud i razocarenje.
