Depth is an Indie game being developed with Epic's recently released UDK toolset. Depth is dubbed as an "Aquatic Stealth" game. Imagine Sam Fisher spent his time dodging sharks, instead of terrorists, and you're on the right track. Two teams of players square off, in a totally underwater level with very different objectives.

The Depth initiative is being spearheaded by an international team of developers, including several members of the original "Killing Floor" mod team. Killing Floor went from humble beginnings as a UT2004 modification, to a full blown retail release on steam and in stores across the world! We hope that Depth will find similar success!

We have been lurking around at the bottom of the ocean since August last year, invisible to the human eye... silently plotting, working and waiting for the moment to strike. That time has come. You should probably get out of the water.
In September of last year we were joined by veteran Epic Games programmer Ron Prestenback, who has proven himself a master of coding shark attacks. The shark attack feature was one of the most technically challenging and complex systems any of us have had the opportunity of developing in Unreal Engine. But now it's finished, and we are overjoyed. Recently we promised you a demonstration of this long awaited Shark attack system in action. Well, here it is.

Also on display in our brand new gameplay trailer is the treasure grab / cash system, sneak-gameplay, and "tagging", a crucial team-service offered by the "Watcher" class diver.

Overview

Off the coast of present day Mexico a team of fearless divers are preparing to loot sunken treasure from shark infested waters. To emerge with their limbs intact, they must use every trick at their disposal to outsmart, avoid, or disable a pack of vicious man-eating sharks. Depth is a competitive multiplayer game which blends heart pounding hide-and-seek gameplay and visceral action in a dark aquatic world. Predator, or Thief. which will you be?

Key Features
- Be a Shark : Take control of a 21 foot man-eater as you find and dismember sneaky divers.

- Shark vision : Experience the sights , sounds and smells of the shark's world. Track prey by the disturbances they make in the water, or the sound of their heartbeat.

- Be a Thief : Loot a wealth of glittering Sunken booty from the bottom of the ocean, by outsmarting and evading your hungry opposition.

- Heart Pounding Stealth: Take cover in dense sea-weed, squeeze into wrecks, and stay as quiet as possible while sharks patrol overhead!

- Full Body Dismemberment : Tear off your victim's limbs one by one and leave him to bleed out, or show him mercy and end it with a final bite.
