I haven't had a chance yet to compare it, performance wise, with my Canon Ef 50mm 1.8 or my copy of the original metal mount version. Do not have a f1.4 to compare it to. I can give you a quick, 'out of box', take on it. Yes, physically it is very similar to the Canon version but there area few differences.
1. There are screws in the lens mount side of the lens and on the side of the barrel. Which would make me think it is assembled different than the Canon. I've disassembled my Canon one to fix it and you have to go through the AF switch panel since there's no external screws to remove. I may take the Yongnuo apart at some point to see haw it differs inside.
2. You can't see in those photos well, but the focus ring is more pronounced then the Canon model and has a rubber covering. Has more grip for manual focusing. Makes it a bit nicer than the Canon.
3. The inner barrel that extends out on the lens has more play than the Canon. Probably due to tolerance being less tight on the Yongnuo.
4. The big point to make. Auto focus in live view mode does not work properly. Tested with both my new 6D and my EOS-M body. Auto focus works fine in regular shooting but when trying to focus in live view, it will make one focus movement then stop. It won't attempt another move. Also noticed that the aperture blades partially engage when you half press the shut button. Not always to the same position and regardless of the aperture setting on the camera. Not a big issue with the 6D, but makes auto focus unusable on the EOS-M.
Narucih i ovakav ring flash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs6ctaHWtd0
Ali ne za toliko para... :d
