Zvanicna najava i prvi gameplay 99% sutra na GTTV-u (gametrailers). GT je najavio "Sony iznenadjenje" za sutra, a Dylan Jobe, covek koji radi na igri u Lightbox Interactive-u, je tweetovao: "The wait is over next Friday... "


Jos malo informacija:

We spoke to a Sony employee who, understandably, wished to remain anonymous. He confirmed to us that a sequel to Warhawk is indeed real, having been in development for a number of years now. It's official title is 'Starhawk'. What follows are all the details we gathered;

- Starhawk will be revealed before E3 2011 - in fact, mid May is the current date for the official public outing.

- The game remains a PS3 exclusive. However, Starhawk will ship only on Blu-ray, rather being a digital title on PSN, and available as a physical disc, like Warhawk.

Lightbox Interactive are developing the title after Incognito Entertainment disbanded

- The main gameplay elements remain much the same. Starhawk is a third-person shooter, with jeeps, APCs, tanks, and now spaceships.

- According to our source, you cannot fly from a planet into space. Some maps are set on a planet, with dogfights taking place in the air, while others are in space, with small areas for ground combat. The game is still set in another universe, so Earth will not feature.

- The game will retain the slightly cartoonish visuals - no ultra-gritty reboot in sight.

- Starhawk runs on a brand new engine that provides stunning visuals, explaining the jump from digital title to Blu-ray disc.

- While the main body of the game is still online multiplayer, there is a single-player component.

- Starhawk is the game Dylan Jobe can't wait to talk about.

This is the first time that Starhawk has been officially confirmed as in development, despite many rumours, and the first time all the features above have been confirmed. And as for the source's reliability, SystemLink can 100% confirm that this information is real and legitimate.

Warhawk’s Dylan Jobe Leaves Incognito, Forms New Studio


This morning Dylan Jobe announced that he and other members of Incognito Entertainment have left the company to form their own studio.

LightBox Interactive will be working on several new games for Sony Computer Entertainment of America and the "Playstation family of platforms."

Incognito was founded in 1999 in Salt Lake City with Scott Campbell and David Jaffe, both of whom left in 2007 to form Eat Sleep Play. Incognito was perhaps best known for their work on the Twisted Metal games and their release of Calling All Cars and Warhawk for the Playstation 3. Jobe, on the other hand, may be best know at Kotaku Tower for handing me my balls.

According to the LightBox site, the transition from Incognito to LightBox has been nearly a year in the making and no jobs were lost in the transition. The studio plans to relocate from Salt Lake City, Utah to Austin, Texas this Fall.

"Our team is comprised of members that made significant contributions to the games Twisted Metal:Black, War of the Monsters, Warhawk and all of its expansion packs. We're currently engaged in a multi-year, multi-title parternship with Sony Computer Entertainment America developing games for the PlayStation family of platforms."

No word on whether Incognito still exists or if it is now an empty shell.

Svidja mi se sto je novi tim, novi engine i blu-ray naslov u pitanju. Meni mnogo fali neka vrhunska svemirska simulacija, ali ne preozbiljna, nesto na foru Colony Wars-a od Studio Liverpoola bi bilo idealno. Ovo nece biti to, ali posto je naziv Starhawk, ko zna. Fali mi i nesto kao Star Wars: Rogue Squadron :). Mogu da zamislim koliko bi dobro bilo nesto slicno na danasnjem hardveru, u istom arkadnom fazonu, sa ogromnim bitkama i multiplayer-om.

Ovo mi je interesantno zato sto bi mozda moglo da bude nesto na tu temu, ili bar da ima veze sa tim sto bi' ja voleo.

Mada treba videti u pokretu, ne vredi vise ocenjivati igre na osnovu screenshotova...

Plašio sam se da će ispasti ovako nešto čim su napisali "slightly cartoonish visuals"...

Nisam ni Warkhawk igrao a bogami ni odgledao nesto mnogo tako da me ovo ne zanima bas puno. Lici mi na cistu generiku da budem iskren.

Nista, videcemo sutra na sta lici gameplay, pa pricamo dalje.

Podseca dosta na Onslaught mode iz Unreal tournamneta, zanima me koliki ce biti maksimalan broj igraca po mapi, posto u warhawku je bilo par dosta velikih mapa a zbog malog broja igraca koji su dozvoljavale dosta vremena bih proveo samo tumarajuci onako naokolo, bilo bi bolje da ova igra podrzava 60 igraca kao sto je resistance 2 imao (iako je u resistancu to postao samo clusterfuck)
 
Totalno sam razocaran. Nista mi se ovde ne svidja, pre svega dizajn/art style, a to je meni vec dovoljno. I tehnicki sam mnogo vise ocekivao od "potpuno novog engine-a", ali to je sad najmanje bitno. Jos kad vidim ove likove koji rade na igri, dodatno se iznerviram.

Ne zanima me vise ovo...

To meni apsolutno nista ne znaci, i dalje mi ne izgleda nista specijalno, bas me briga za razlog (koji me pritom ni najmanje ne dotice). Mada mi je dizajn veci problem od toga...
 
Koliko vidim gameplay je u sutini isti malo jos doradjen sa ovim gradjenjem zgrada, graficki izgleda solidno, eksplozije i rusenje zgrada su odradjeni dosta dobro, nisam skapirao dal postoje tipa "destructable environment" il je samo rusenje zgrada tako dizajnirano. A moras im dati pohvle za sal na liku :p ipak se danas dizajneri ne trude oko animacije odece. A sto se tice art stylea i ja mislim da je dosta los cak i delovi mape koje su prikazali izgledaju jako jednostavni kao da nije ulozeno previse truda u njih, mada mozda se bolje pokazu na drugim mapama

Ja sam se nadao nečemu sa "spacey" osećajem, inspirisano radovima Chris Foss-a/Peter Elson-a. Ovo je na skroz suprotnoj strani od toga.

Upravo to, od ovoga nastavka se nikako ne moze ocekivati isti vizuelni stil kao kod originala al trenutno mi ne izgleda ni tamo ni vamo, jos uvek izgleda nekako prizemljeno iako imaju dzinovsku planetu u pozadini :D. Od ovih pre Foss nego Elson al npr Homeworld je bio radjen na fazon Elsonovih radova pa neka tako modifikacija tih dela bi verovatno dobro ispala. Doduse i meni je vizuelani dizajn dosta bitan ali nije i presudjujuci faktor o kvalitetu igre, naravno zavisi i koji tip igre je u pitanju. Ovde me opet prvesntveno zanima gameplay i vrlo sam zainteresovan do koje mere ce realizovati ove rts aspekte
 
Zasto moraju danas protagonisti igara da izgledaju ko napucani bilderi sa malim glavama kao iz Gears-a!?!?!
 
beta je out za psn+ i uncharted 3 vlasnike :) skida li neko da proba ovo čudo?
