So its not a pure FPS, because they said it is something new for them. They said they had no experience in making such a game and had no experience in that kind of genres at all. They started absolutly at point zero.

They looked into WOW drops and how WOW distributes loot. Also gambling games in Las Vegas. They looked into slotmachines and what makes the player keep playing. The rate that games reward you. "What we learned: if you don't succeed in slot machines, there is no feedback. [...] What the player is craving for is that feedback."

They playtested the game and they had a guy "who walked the entire game just looking at the ceiling". So it is in first person.

The focus tester hated it the first time they tested it. They missed entire parts of the game (open world), they don't understand entire parts of the game (open story).

Shawn Elliott is a level designer on that team. He often talked about level design on GFW Radio. He loves Half Life, Company of Heros, but has no interest in WOW or such games. But he changed from some kind of producer to a level designer.

Its "hardcore shit".

There is no "training ground" in the game. You learn while you go. (So there is stuff to learn).

Ken Levin about platforms: "I think about the amount of platforms that are available today and the barriers of entry to getting to this platforms. I mean flash games and facebook games and all that stuff. The barriers of entry have lowered substantially, it's just: to make a story based first person shooter RPG, the resources require to make that only available to fewer an fewer people and we are very fortune, I think, that we get to be to this people, because that is the kind of games I wanna make."

Ovo miriše na igru koja razbija danas ustaljene standarde koji kažu: tutorial, hint sistem, regeneracija za 5 sekudni, glupa i prozirna priča, strelice na zidovima koji kažu skreni levo/desno itd.

Nadam se da će napraviti igru koju će prosečnog pajsera iznervirati i naterati ga da batali jer nije skapirao šta treba da radi da bi prešao na sledeći nivo :d

Grafika je očaravajuća :)

The game was revealed to press yesterday in New York, and thankfully Craig was there. He’s written us a blow-by-blow of the Bioshock Infinite demonstration there. The basics, though, are that Ken Levine is heading this BioShock up, that it’s set in the early twentieth century, that there’s a psychic lady and evil steampunk cybullies, and that you probably shouldn’t fall off.

You’ve been sent into this rogue 1900s Death Star to retrieve a woman called Elizabeth. She’s at the centre of some sort of conflict, she has magical powers that give her nosebleeds, and you’ll need to work together to survive and escape. It’ll have more of the same consequence-driven story, although we’ve not yet got details on what those choices will be.


“When designing BioShock Infinite, we thought, ‘wouldn’t it be great if you walked into a room in this game and you didn’t necessarily know the dispositions of the people in it? Are they going to sit there? Are they going to attack you? What might set them off?’ We really wanted to have a notion that not everyone in the city was automatically hostile towards you. Instead it has more of that “Wild West” feel where you walk into a bar with your hand on your pistol and you’re not sure what’s going to happen to you.

Meni ovo deluje kao neki crtani film... I sta je ovo sad radnja duboko gore u oblacima:p

PA malo bi bio smor da se opet desava u Rapture-u....

da, al sta ce sada majku mu....rapture je bio originalan i imali su pricu da ga opravdaju...kako ce koj djavo da opravdaju 'stanove' na nebu? bioshock 5 ce se odvijati u zemlji, a 8 u svemiru ^^
 
A i kad razmislim dosta je bilo Raptura, Adama i Little Sisters-a, treba staviti tacku tu i napraviti nesto novo... Smor bi bio da se opet odigrava u Raptur-u
 
da ali ako nisi obratio paznju u traileru se opet pojavljuje neka verzija Big Daddy-ja. tako da nije bas stavljena tacka. 100% ce biti i Little Sisters-a
 
Ako radi Ken Levine na ovoj igri i najavljena je za 2012 moze tu da se smisli sjajan svet i prica....

Kontam da su tog Big Daddy-ja ubacili samo radi fore... U svakom slucaju sam se iznenadio, nisam ocekivao nebo :) Koji god da je engine, ako bude dobra igra, who cares :)
 
Ali definitivno moraju popraviti napucavanje i rag doll fiziku jer kad vec toliko ima napucavanja taj deo mora biti dobar, i taj engine U3 daleko bolje moze da se iskoristi, Batman AA je dokaz
 
Kontam da su tog Big Daddy-ja ubacili samo radi fore... U svakom slucaju sam se iznenadio, nisam ocekivao nebo :) Koji god da je engine, ako bude dobra igra, who cares :)

Iz cepelina se vidi da je UT3, naravno, poslednja verzija ofarbana u jarke boje. :)
 
Kog cepelina? Ovo je cinematic trejler, kakve on ima veze sa grafikom kakva će biti u igri.
 
U jednom od prilozenih shotova vidi se ingame shot. U pitanju je Unreal engine. Bice to vizuelno sjajna igra! Dodali su dosta sitnica koje ce vizuelno bas obogatiti igru ako je sudeci po najnovijem UDK. Indirect lightnig (svetlo koje se odbija od povrsine) sad podrzava i normal mape pa sve izgleda mnogo realisticnije.
 
Kog cepelina? Ovo je cinematic trejler, kakve on ima veze sa grafikom kakva će biti u igri.

Iz aviona ako ti bolje zvuci. :) Sudim po ovim shotovima.

Aaaa, znači ovo se komotno sada može zavesti pod onu čuvenu Grunfovu parolu: Tko leti vredi! Tko ne leti, ne vredi! :d
Izgleda de će sledeći nastavak iza ovoga biti smešten u nekakavom kupolarnom gradu na mesecu i zvaće se najverovatnije Moonyshock (u slobodnom prevodu munem_ti_shock) i tako nešto, heh... ,)

Kako su krenuli izgleda mi da će ovaj naslov postati klasičan sinonim za drpačinu u onom najbanalnijem smislu.

Meni je da budem iskren i prvi deo koji je još i nešto vredeo bio smor neviđeni! Jedva sam dočekao kraj same igre (iz čiste gejmerske kurtoazije sam ga odigrao do kraja)... Tako da za ovo stvarno nemam neki poseban komentar, osim da izgleda pristojno (samo pristojno) i tu je tačka, nema dalje... No dobro... Fanovi će se sigurno i ovome obradovati...

Ma samo nek je veselo! :D
