Intel SSD 330 Series - Problem

Ubacio sam Intel Solid-State Drive 330 Series od 60GB - SATA3 sucenlje na starije SATA2 sucelje, na laptopu Toshiba Satellite A300-15B - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe....edProductPage.do?service=EU&PRODUCT_ID=150522 i disk radi sasvim normalno. Uz to sam podebljao ram memoriju sa 3GB na 4GB. Medjutim javlja se jedan cudan problem sa Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Inastalacija je prosla savim glatko, drivere sam nasao na toshibin sajt, odradjen update OS-a. Medjutim javlja se zamrzavaje u nekim neodredjenim trenucima, koje traje izmedju 20-30 sekudni. Racunar ne reaguje na nista, lampica HDD je non stop upaljena - ctrl+alt+del ne reaguje. Nakon 20-30 sekudni racunar se odrmzne i nastavi sa normalnim radom. Prvo sam mislio da je problem do loseg OS. Instalirao sam novi OS, razliciti release, updejtovo drajvere, skinuo zadnji drajver sa Intelevog sajta za chipste (Intel PM965 Express). ali problem je ostao. Skinuo sam sa maticne ploce novi dodati modul ram memorije, ali problem je i dalje ostao. Izgleda da komunikacija izmedju maticne ploce i novog hard diska ne funkcionise kako treba?

I meni se isto desava!Samo ja imam desktop racunar,ali je simptom isti.Sta je to LPM?
 
Treba da iskljucite C1E, C3, C6 (sta god imate od toga u BIOSu pod stavkom vezanom za CPU ili overclock istog).

Ne mogu da se setim da li je to opcija za obaranje multiplier-a ili FSB procesora u idle rezimu. Uglavnom ako koristite tu power saving opciju ostace EIST ukljucen (a kod AMD-a CnQ).

P.S EIST je takodje taj koji obara multiplier ili FSB tj. jednu funkciju radi EIST, a drugu C1E. Kao sto rekoh ne mogu da se setim ko sta tacno radi, a i mrzi me da googlam.

Jesi siguran da to ima veze sa LPM-om?.... C1E mi je bio enabled na desktopu i nije bilo problema sa C300 koji je imao taj problem na laptopu dok nisam LPM disablovao.
Ne znam da sam igde u laptop BIOS-u video uopste podesavanje za C1E, a LPM je pod IaStor kljucem.
 
Pa koliko sam video negde na netu, iskljucivanje C1 opcije(a) je resavalo ljudima problem - bile su cini mi se desktop varijante u pitanju. mdm je vec napisao da se iskljuci LMP, ja sam dodao i ovo kao verovatno resenje za problem kod desktop varijante - a i brze je za odraditi. Treba probati sta god bude radilo.

A sto se tice toga kako ugasiti LMP, evo copy-paste s neta;

The needed Reg-File to disable LPM on all Intel Ports it is easy to create. Create a new Text-File, copy and paste the following text and then name it for example “LPM.reg”. When you have save the file double click on the file, restart your System and that’s it. On the next boot up LPM is disabled. You can also disable only one or two ports and so on. Then you must delete the line from that port, who you don’t want to disable LPM.

If there are no "Ports" under the iaStorV/iaStor Parameters, you will need to Manually Creating the Registry Location and Keys:

1. Go to Start-> Run..

2. Type in RegEdit and hit the Enter Key..

3. Go to the following Key location to insert or configure the registry keys for LPM:

4a. Right click "Parameters" select "New" then name it "Port0".

4b. Left click "Port0" to open and in the pane with Name/Type/Data, Right click select "New" then "DWORD" and name the new value "LPM".

4c. Repeat 4a/4b "LPMDSTATE" and "DIPM".

 

5.  When you want to ad the other Ports also to registry, then repeat the steps from 4a to 4c and name it Port1, Port2, Port3, Port4 and Port5.

 

So, give it a try, i hope it works also at your side, not only just for me! I am disable LPM from now directly on any new installation!

Link Power Management with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology implements the Link power management (LPM) feature described by the Serial ATA specification to overcome the power demand of a high-speed serial interface, SATA and providing the capability of SATA at the minimum power cost. LPM, when used in conjunction with a SATA hard drive that supports this feature, enables lower power consumption. LPM was initially enabled by default on mobile platforms starting with ICH6M with Intel® Matrix Storage Manager. Starting with ICH9R this feature has also been supported on desktop platforms with Intel® Matrix Storage Manager 7.5 release but not enabled by default. Beginning with the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology 10.0 release, LPM support is enabled by default on both mobile and desktop platforms. OEM’s who wish to modify the default settings for LPM on their platforms can follow the instructions in the following section(s).

Instructions to disable/enable LPM

After system is setup with OS and Intel® Rapid Storage Technology installed, follow the below instructions to modify the default LPM support.

NOTE: Beginning with the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology 10.0 release, the registry keys are no longer populated in the Windows registry by default. The RST driver does not require the registry keys to be present to support the default settings.

1. Go to Start->Run
2. Type in RegEdit and hit the Enter Key.
3. Go to the below mentioned location to insert or configure the registry keys for LPM
NOTE: OEM’s need to configure the LPM settings by port. Ports are numbered starting with zero (please refer the desired platform EDS for the number of ports supported on that platform)

Poslednja izmena:
Nije samo IaStor da ima LPM, ali se kod njega lakše može isključiti, dok kod drugih mora pretpostavljam kao što reče OCz; inače rezultat je isti: da ne obara brzinu magistrale..
 
Ja sam iskljucio LPM, i nakon nekoliko sati rada nije mi se vise javljao problem.

Evo i ja sam sada napravio taj .reg fajl i uradio po uputstvu od OCz-a pa cemo da vidimo.
 
Super, znao sam da je to u pitanju po lepo opisanim simptomima; drago mi je da više nemaš tu muku :wave:
 
Pa nije valjda da je potrebno iskljucivanje korisne C1 opcije da bi SSD, i to Intel, radio kako treba?!
 
Naravno da ne, svi računari mi imaju SSD-ove i nigde ne isključujem C1.

Ono što često zna da zeza je LPM, pominjano je bar dvadeset puta ovde na forumu u temema o SSD-ovima.

LPM čak i ne moraš da isključuješ za sve portove kao što je OCZ naveo, dovoljno je da ga isključiš na portu gde je SSD.
 
Danas sam nabacio ovaj disk, ali nisam primjetio ikakvo zamrzavanje. Treba li i ja da uradim to iskljucivanje sto je gore opisano ili da pustim ovako kako jeste?
 
Ja isključujem LPM na portu za SSD za bilo koju mašinu u koju ubacim SSD. LPM samo može da zeza, a nema neke vajde od njega.

Pošto nisam reinstalirao sistem kad sam prešao na Z77, ostao mi LPM isklučen, mada moguće da su sredili problem u RST 11.0 drajverima.
